So I used to have to drive 45 mins sometimes 2 hours just to get a six pack of stone ipa or any stone for that matter. Same distance for other beers too. Within the last month or two, in Alabama, I have seen stone ipa and go to ipa hit most of my win Dixie locations in my town, and now tonight at publix I saw those along with ruin 2.0 bombers, arrogant bombers, and ipa bombers... 7.50 but, still awesome. Fresh too.. . I was so excited I said whhhhhatttt! Out loud. I hope this is the continuing trend. Have any of you folks noticed fresh stone beers coming in to your small town where they were not ever before? Thank you stone brewing!

I don't know how far I would've had to go to find Stone beers before, but I did notice that their regular IPA and Go-To IPA both appeared on local Kroger shelves just in the past month or so. They seem to be selling pretty well here, too, based on how often I see their spots on the shelf either empty or half-empty.

So no, it's not just your area -- I'm guessing Stone's distribution has probably expanded into a lot of smaller-town areas recently.

Which reminds me, I still have one bottle of Stone IPA left in my fridge right now... though I'm guessing it'll be gone before the weekend comes around, heh.

Stone's beers rule and I am very happy that you are now able to find at least a few of their beers close to where you live. I hope for your sake this was not a one time thing. Stone is one of my favorite breweries too!

They have become much more well distributed in the south. This year Ive seen enjoy by and other Stone brews on tap at places the previously only had Abita and macro stuff in Louisiana.

I live in the pine barrens in nj. Nothing for 50 miles west. 30 miles north and south and east is the ocean. And I'm just recently able to find stone. And a lot of it. Never thought I'd get it here.

Definitely makes me realize that I take Stone availability for granted. Cheers, OP!

Bass river and Wharton state forests cover a large majoirity of southern NJ. Small towns out here not much local distribution. If it is, it is way overpriced.

NJ has some scenery that would blow people away...it's not all Newark..some real nice spots the state that they get no credit for...head to Cape May sometime

Completely. I work in downtown Seattle and could probably find fresh Stone beer at several places within a city block of where I am sitting. Threads like this one remind me how totally spoiled I am.

45 minutes? I think the closest place to me that stocks Stone beers is about a 3.5 hour drive.

Once the brewery in Richmond VA is up and running we should have no problems.

I'm probably just spoiled, living relatively near Stone, but if I lived in Alabama, I think I'd be a lot more excited about Cigar City or Good People (assuming they distribute to the specific area where you live).

I lived in AL for 10 years between 2004 and 2014 (between the 'Ham and Tuscaloosa). I watched the craft beer scene go from nonexistent/illegal to flourishing and healthy. I never had any problem picking up Stone IPA and Ruination in Bessemer and Bham. Piggly Wiggly also had some good variety (Jai Alai, Stone stuff,etc...). Don't discount your local/regional brews. There are some excellent brews coming out of AL now. Now that I'm living in NC, I miss easy access to Good People Snake Handler, Straight to Ale Monkeynaut, and a few others. Happy hunting !
