Hey there. The wife is traveling to the Milwaukee area this week for business. Are there any bottle shops to pick up some New Glarus in the area? I already did a search so please no flaming. Thanks in advance!

Any grocery store will probably have most everything... along with gas stations and convenient stores. The stuff is literally everywhere.

Depending on where she's staying, some of the better beer shops in general include Whole Foods, Discount liquor, Otto's, and Ray's. a quick google search should show you where those are.

Sugar River Pizza, Glarner Stube, and Tofflers are all very good.

The availability of New Glarus' beers in Wisconsin has AB InBev jealous.

Depends on where you go. I think places up around here in Appleton/Green Bay still have some. Bigger cities like Madison/Milwaukee are probably sold out.

It's still around in Madison. Hy-Vee on Whitney Way, for one, still has a ton.

IT is literlly the easiest beer to find. You can usually buy everything at any grocery stores. Gas stations will carry all 6 packs.

Fun New Glarus facts that give you an idea of their availability in Wisconsin.

    1) Spotted Cow is on more tap handles than any other beer in Wisconsin. It may be a Bud bar or it may be a Miller bar, but every one has Spotted Cow on tap.

    2) Last I can recall, New Glarus has the 26th largest distribution by barrels of any brewery in the United States. They distribute to 1 state.

If you're planning to eat in New Glarus after visiting the brewery, ask the folks at the beer cabana for a coupon book. They've had them in years past, so I assume they do this year too. It'll get you a couple free beers to go along with your meal. I wanna say 1 free beer and 1 free beer w/ food purchase.

Funny situation for me today. Was at Riley's (Madison) and someone walked in and I overheard them say "I'm looking for something called Spotted Cow." I could only chuckle out loud as the cashier kindly pointed them to the nearest overstocked New Glarus cooler.

Cheese curds at Glarner Stube are second to none. Probably the best tap selection of NG in town as well (at least it was last time i was up there).
