    I actually did not :slight_frown:

Truck chasing and stalking is a younger man's game.

Is anyone interested in a loon share? I have a 2013 Gueuze and honestly just want to try some different offerings. Is that a thing that happens or are we just supposed to stare at our bottles?

It's the only benefit to living in your parent's basement. When you're 30.

It also helps to chat and be friendly to them when there isn't a whale sale, and not just bust through the door demanding Fou or Parabola or Pliny on those rare occasions. Several people were stalking my bottle shop this morning at the open. Of course, the truck hadn't arrived yet, and they were complete asshats about it. I heard this from the manager when I called to see what the protocol would be for bottle sales.

I can't tell you how to get your hands on some... but I can tell you how to not get your hands on some.
Call a bottle shop employee an asshole to his face because he can't sell you a bottle of something that's locked up in a manager's office. That's a real good way not to get some... or anything, really.

    Good luck, everybody!

Wow...just...wow. People need to get a grip.

In other news though, these stories are kind of like morbid fascination. I squirm when I read them, but I need to keep reading them.

Yeah, last time Cantillon came around, it did. I think some whale hunters have success with bullying employees, so they give it a shot to see what happens. Doesn't work too well here ;-)

In addition to that, he's been "rubbing elbows" with many brewers across the pond and with Shelton Bros. Personal relationships help. :sunglasses:

I would LOVE that to happen to me. Something about throwing people out of the store is exhilarating. One dude scolded me for not carrying KD (Kentucky Deluxe) and I told him he was the reason we didn't while showing him the doorjamb.

I'm actually curious how many of the people flipping out over bottles actually like it and plan to drink it. I think this is more about mystique and trade value than people really wanting to actually drink and enjoy it.

This is why I've counted myself out here. I don't even know if I like the stuff, so I figure I'll just let it go to people that really love the stuff. I figure I'll get a chance to try it at some point and determine if I need to join the rabid fanbase

This is absolutely insane. I respect the shit or of the stores like grapevine, davidsons, and Lukas that are doing their releases by lottery or random putting in the coolers. It's just beer folks. Sure I'd love to get my hands on some (to drink and not trade) but if I don't there is so much other awesome beer that is distributed in this beautiful state we live in.
