When you can't find something exciting/new/rare/etc., what's a beer that's regularly available in shops near you that you just know you'll enjoy every time?

I've got two (cheating, I know): Sixpoint Bengali and Long Trail Limbo.

I've just moved, so I'm still in the process of finding a go-to. Right now, maybe Ithaca Flower Power. However, that may change soon as I get used to the distribution here.

I can rely on finding Two Hearted, Sculpin, Flower Power, and lately, apparently, Space Dust, as far as pales/IPAs are concerned. High-gravity-wise, there is no specific beer, but there's always something decent around.

My go-to beer lately is actually a go-to brewery, Revolution. I've had more Rev brews than any other brewery in my beer fridge. Anti-Hero is getting a run for it's money from Fist City, right now. But every winter it's Sierra Nevada Celebration, taking up most the room. (Didn't really answer the question properly, did I?)

I have a few, depending on what store/state I'm in (I live on the KY/OH border). But usually either Little Sumpin' Sumpin', Torpedo, or something from Revolution.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Fist City was (almost?) as good as Anti-Hero.

Whirlpool from Night Shift has been my go to, especially now that the snow is gone (!!). Juicy, melon flavor, cloudy, and at 4.2% a GREAT APA..

Any of the Laggy Lil' Sumpin series. Also tend to keep a good amount of Founders All Day IPA and Oskar Blues Pinner cans on hand.

Where do you get it? I was at Craft Beer Cellar in Braintree today and they didn't have much of anything from Night Shift.

Im just North of Boston, Stoneham to be exact, so am either a 20min drive from the brewery in Everett, or my local liquor store Redstone always gets a shipment of the latest bottling dated Whirlpools. Albeit, usually stacked to the ceiling at Redstone, this time the allotment was much smaller. Makes me worried will start going the way of Be Hoppy, in that was once easily accessible to buy and now sells out (or too much interest @ brewery) to see heavy distro. Once you come N of Boston it is much easier to find, Whirlpool that is.

Sweet, thanks. Also, FYI Craft Beer Cellar will be getting some Second Fiddle shipments on Tuesday at 5, if you're into Fiddlehead's stuff.

Yea, their is a thread in the NE section about that. Probably gonna be a shit-show, #1, and unfortunately #2 I will be at work until 730p so am just going to pretend didn't know about it so won't be upset. Ignorance is bliss

Never had a go-to ever. I try new beers every chance I get. I have go-to beers for sporting events but that is different than a non-sporting go-to :astonished:

Oh, and for someone who has had plenty of Nigh Shift, there IPAs are hit or miss and I feel there are better options in our, and your, area. However, as stated, the Whirlpool is super crushable.

Unfortunately I think a lot of the sours were IPAs gone bad....IMO
