1) What is the best beer and why? Mildly cold ones. Shit beer like Bud is drank cold to hide it. Good beer best served to too cold to allow one to enjoy the small nuances in the flavors.
2) Why do you want to win this LIF? So I can have the box forwarded to someone that deserves it.
3) What style of beer is your favorite and why? Stout. There are so many variations to tease the palette.
4) What's your favorite beer story? all the stories around #lehighfresh.
5) Why did the chicken cross the road...or in the alternative, what is black, white and red all over? Duh, to get to pizza Boy and drink some SSU.

1-The best beer I can think of at the moment is 3 Sons Doubke Scoop, such a great stout with incredible strawberry flavor
2- uhhh, for whalez duh
3- American Pale ale, classic and goes with any occasion
4- Huna day with @valrxman was epic and is where I got my double scoop, also the locals 1.0 share

The best beer is Side Project Derivation, Blend 2 because it was so chewy they served it on a plate and I had to eat it with a fork.

I''m not sure why I want to win this LIF. @jshusc hasn't even announced what's going in the winner's box. But I like boxes, so I'm in.

My favorite style of beer is a stout. I love coffee and vanilla and these pair well with stouts. Plus the mouthfeel on a stout is amazing. I love thick stuff in my mouth.

Favorite beer story...Seriously...because I believe in beer karma and have experienced both sides of it: I was at my local bottle shop and found an Easter egg FW XVIII. Another patron in the store told me that it was something he had never had and I should feel lucky as it is impossible to find. This would've been my first one also, but I decided to let him have it since I have other good beers at the house. Later that day one of my buddies (who had no idea about this incident) showed up with my gift. Wouldn't you know it- A FW XVIII!

The chicken crossed the road because it had scheduled a trade with @IPAFan521 in the middle of the road and @IPAFan521 didn't show up (@IPAFan521, if this offends you, let me know and I will immediately laugh and make sure I show it to as many people as possible. LYMI).

Ok, first time doing this type of thing...hope I'm following this correctly!

1) What is the best beer and why?
The best beer is the beer shared with someone who will truly appreciate it. Drinking alone is great and all, but all the best beers, like experiences, are shared.

2) Why do you want to win this LIF?
Who doesn't want to try a beer that they ordinarily wouldn't be able to have? Whether it's the everyday beer that just isn't distributed to your area, or the whale you missed out on because someone used a robot to hold their place online, or someone chased the delivery truck on their route, or they waited in line for it while you had to be at work.

3) What style of beer is your favorite and why?
Is it lame that DIPAs are my absolute favorite? How very 2006 of me, right?

4) What's your favorite beer story?
I bribed my way into a brewery, bypassing a 3 hour wait, by offering a whale. Wouldn't have been able to go otherwise because I had a starving party and a 2 month old that had to eat!

5) Why did the chicken cross the road...or in the alternative, what is black, white and red all over?
Black and white and red all over? A bloody kitchen floor...been there. Couldn't be a newspaper or iPad because you said "red", not "read". Spelling is good!

Well crap. Just saw MI on the list after reading through it again. Thought it was in alphabetical order. Reading skills are just as good!

 

1) What is the best beer and why?
Creature Comforts Koko Buni - The absolute best from my personal list. Local and really really tasty highlighting all the ingredients in perfect harmony. The BA version was excellent too. For those who never had it the closer I can describe is like a creamier version of Victory at Sea with toasted coconut.

2) Why do you want to win this LIF?
I'm about to finish my PhD this summer and at the same time I'm getting ready to move to another state for a new job starting in August. Stress levels are high and good beer always help with that.

3) What style of beer is your favorite and why?
Scotch Ales - I'm a groupie for smoked beers plus I've always preferred malt over hops. A few scotch ales readily available to me offer the smoke characteristic (Drafty Kilt, Claymore, etc.) so I started drinking them regularly. It's been a scotch ale quest ever since. Plus most of them make a great base for barrel aged version. Imagine the backwoods bastard riding a wulver in a race against the Clown Shoes chick riding the lion.

4) What's your favorite beer story?
The time I didn't have to pay for any beer I drank one night because I won a bet with my buddies. The bet: I played $5 worth of Mambo #5 in the jukebox (.50/song so n=10) and the song played 5.5 times before the bartender had enough and went to reset the thing. I needed it to play at least 4 full times to win.

5) Why did the chicken cross the road...or in the alternative, what is black, white and red all over?
Black, white and red all over? A chicken that got run over by a car for trying to cross a road.
