So what's the word with the beer they'll be selling here. No toppers, just other beers. Focal banger etc? Can't we get a alchmist mixed pack?

While it may be putting the cart before the horse, Kimmich did say a while back that they will be bringing Heady Topper over from the other brewery for retail sale at the new location.

The focus will be Focal Banger and Beelzebub, with Heady available as well.

Looking forward to more Beelzebub. Had my last can about a month ago, and still sooo good...

Jesus, that car's really dragging ass. I've only been able to get HT a few times through a mule, but this is the kind of stuff that pisses me off. A case or two is fine, but share the love!

Can anyone tell me if they have released any more Focal Banger since the last popup sale? I am looking to trade for some if so. But definitely wanting fresh.

AFAIK they aren't going to release any Focal to stores until the new brewery is open. They are consistently sending it to bars, though.

The way it's going right now, a lot of small towns are getting breweries for the first time. The next popular VT beer will likely come from one of those breweries and not established breweries.

I still have a few Focal cans left from the March release, they have faded a little but not much, they are still drinking excellent.

I dream of a Thursday morning stop at Hunger Mountain, where the bad news is they only got half as much Heady as usual, but the good news is...

You are pretty optimistic there, but seeing how things are going beerwise I don't know if I can entirely disagree (Fiddlehead shows how fast such things can happen). Don't see much buzz about The Hermit Thrush in Brattleboro, and their sours are definitely not my thing. Wish McNeills would return to to it's former glory, we can only hope. I just don't know why The Alchemist decided on one of the richest parts of Vermont where they still have the NIMBY potential, when they would have been accepted with open arms in one of the many areas that need something, anything to attract people. We can always hope.

If it's so bad why not move somewhere else?

They've already done wonders for Waterbury and are supporting the town they live in (Stowe) with the second brewery.

So it's irresponsible of them to not put their new brewery and visitor center in Lincoln, Enosburg Falls, Rutland, or Pownal? Since when does town redevelopment fall on them? They're live in the area and it makes total, complete 100% business sense to do what they did. You cannot fault them for working close to home while printing money at the same time..

Money is money, go where you will get more of it. If you move it to a downtrodden town and fail because of it, do you think anyone in that town will give them money when they are broke?
