Trailblazing a new style of beer all by themselves, CIB has created unique "craft" beers that taste like sour vegetables. Stunningly good. How many have you had? I've had 5.

2 or 3, maybe. And that was 2 or 3 too many.

I was tailgating at an ISU game, so needless to say I wasn't exactly sure what I was tasting. All I remember was that it was sour, it didn't get finished, and I've never bought another.

1 sample. 2012 Parkville Microbrew Fest in the KC area.

    Never. Again.

High boost...I like your terminology. I don't know about you, but I know my ABC's.

Regarding CIB. The most memorable experience I've had was ordering a Cheri Tart at Keg Stand and getting Orange Scorpion. I asked them to check the keg, they did, it was labeled Cheri Tart. I've got to believe CIB is a small enough brewery that they'd be able to tell the difference in a cherry beer and a beer brewed with hot ass peppers. Apparently not.

I think Cheri Tart might have been the bottle I bought.

Had Cheri Tart and went in expecting to vomit profusely, it was a solid 2...lol

CIB Cheri tart is the worst beer I've ever had. I will say I've had it since and it was at least drinkable. The first time it was so rancid I thought the idea was to try and make me puke.

Had some really bad samples when I was driving through the area not too long ago. I thought I had a rogue bad batch or dirty line or something, but it looks like this wasn't the case. Shocked any brewery would put out something that had major problems like that, hopefully they will fix.

There's a set of style guidelines for that:

I have had a few including a collaboration with Firetrucker. Most were drinkable in small amounts, but not anything I would seek out repeatedly. Makes me wonder if many of their sales are mostly curiosity buys of first timers trying them out. Then again, there are people that like most every style, even the 'sour veggie' niche.

I'm shuddering just thinking about CIB...

I think most of the sales are for gag adds to trades. I think @pepsican is responsible for most of them.

Are they still extract brewing? I refuse to pay money for what is essentially mass-produced home brewing.

Also, I've had 3 or 4 of their beers and they were all drain pours. Just fucking awful.

I actually once completed a trade CIB for Yellow Rose. They were ISO: CIB.
