Racist Asian jokes aside, this guy is a jerk. Reverse snobbery is my least favorite kind.

...lots of people in the service industry love to pound PBR's and Bud Lights with the people they work with when their jobs done, it's really no different than any other work place in this country.

I was just at Momofuku Peche a few weeks ago and had a few Ballast Point Sculpins. Maybe he should pair his Bud Lights with all his dishes if he thinks its so great.

Really man?? What is my high horse if you will? Everybody has a right to advertise their brand!!! I said it originally and I'll say it again... There are way better beers out there but nothing wrong with them trying to promote their product???

While I do find it pretty puzzling why he would actually choose to appear in an ad for Budweiser, I don't get why people continue to care about this. It's clear that Chang doesn't view beer as something he really wants to think about a lot even though he knows there's a lot of good stuff out there, and that's really okay.

People have different priorities. Not everyone into good beer is also into fine wine. Not everyone who wears shoes buys Allen Edmonds.

David Chang is doing his Bud and Burgers thing now, too. He is a very knowledgeable and talented chef And businessman. He likes his junk food though. Watch Mind of a Chef 2103.

My friends that only drink domestic beers drink them because they have less intense flavors. I enjoy drinking them sometimes for that reason.

Surprised he was hurting for a paycheck bad enough to do this. I want to hearAnthony Bourdain's thoughts on this...

Experiencing major deja vu on this thread. This article was previously posted. The responses? Pretty much the same.

Are people seriously such craft beer cartoons that they can't accept someone likes Budweiser? It's a totally fine basic beer that anyone who ever went to real bars (not some curated taplist nonsense) has drank 3500 of. My guess is anyone who can't admit that probably got into "craft beer" because it was the hip trend all their yuppie wine buddies decided to latch onto next. I'd rather eat David Changs food than drink 99% of the trade bait beers people chase on this forum.

Insert BCM (Bud Coors Miller) for PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon) For me, It was kind of like this...

Any number of PBR's on a hot summer afternoon after getting off of work as a lineman for GTE (General Telephone) in Hobart, IN. That is, at least for me, when beer tastes the best. That is back in the day (the 60s) when there was no boom or ladder truck, no power tools or augers. Setting a pole line the old fashion way, was by the sweat of your brow, and the breaking of your back... That is when beer tastes the best!

So, my vote is when you are dead beat up after work, that first beer is the best beer ever!

Beer for the common man, that ditch digger, that road worker following a blade (road grader) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grader pushing a lute or rake https://engineering.purdue.edu/CEM/People/Personal/Halpin/Sim/Examples/pave.htm I've lived that life so I can't knock BCM, they have served me well.

Given the previous article about his opinions on beer, David Chang as a spokesperson seems exactly on brand for Bud.

He likes to drink beer, not fuss over it. [shrugs]

But I do think, like the SB ad, this simply shows that ABInBev views craft as a threat. And it's probably good business sense that they do.

Many great beer bars serve boring food. What is wrong with a chef who likes boring beer?
