This past weekend y buddy brought a couple bottles of the Half Stack down from New York. Pretty solid, but he said the Full Stack blew him away but he couldn't find any currently on the shelf.

 

I agree that Singlecut makes terrific IPAs - when fresh bottles come out, I usually grab one of whatever it is.

That said, I think comparing to Other Half is difficult, as I think their takes on IPAs are significantly different. I find Other Half IPAs (aside from AGE) to finish fairly dry with some slight lingering bitterness and hopping that lends more towards dankness and citrus, whereas I notice a sweeter malt backbone in Singlecut IPAs that gives them a much fruitier and juicier feel. Both are delicious, but it's a preference thing for me.

Oh, and to say that Singlecut is underrated is a bit unfair, I think. More appropriate to say that the Other Half hype train is currently set to "Barreling Out of Control."

That, or I'm talking out of my ass. I sorta think my palate sucks half the time.

 

I really hope they decide to start barreling Out of Control. That beer would be amazing with a barrel treatment!

Does anyone have any inside info into when Billy Full Stack will be released in cans? I know they said June/July but haven't heard anything other than that.
