I know there's a bunch of threads out there already on this, but none of them have been touched in several months. I haven't been paying too close attention, so I have two quick questions:

    1. Is it still just Discount (both locations) and Three Cellars?
    2. Are we still regularly getting fresh bottles of PsuedoSue and Golden Nugget, or have things slowed down a bit? Seems like Discount had fresh bottles every week for a while there.

    Appreciate the info, homies!

    1) No, I've seen lots of smaller shops with Golden Nugget, Dorthy? and Zeelander. I haven't seen Sue at other places, but I'm sure it has been there/will be coming.
    2) Discount was likely just releasing a bit at a time like they always do with stuff like this. Golden Nugget is possible, but Sue has only made it here 2 or 3 times as far as I'm aware.

    1. I have not seen TG at any place besides the three you mention, though IIRC B&B Beverage in Wind Lake got one shipment? I could have heard that wrong though. I was at Discount Milwaukee a couple days ago and they still had Zeelander, GNug and Dorothys.

    2. MKE didn't get any of the last batch of Sue, which was mid to late February. I believe the last shipment of Sue to hit MKE was at the very end of January. The Zeelander and Tsunami was maybe three or so weeks ago. I agree it seems to have slowed down, and after reading the TG threads regarding Mike Saboe leaving, I am wondering if we will see any new shipments in the near future.

I can start posting here when I see it other places. We gotta get these smaller places to sell out so they can keep bringing new stuff in instead of just Discount. I like to support three cellars and the little guys if possible. Just my 2 cents.

    Thanks everyone for the info.

Come on, man. It's not like Discount Liquor is Total Wine, Bevmo, or even Binny's. They are family-owned and have two locations.

    You're welcome

Haha well you clearly have a different opinion than mine, so I will gladly keep mine to myself.

For those traveling south of Milwaukee I know Tenutas in Kenosha gets some Toppling Goliath. My understanding is they are unsure what show-up but they take their allotment. Last week thay had Dorothy.

Did the recent batch of Zeelander dry hopped with mosaic hops ever make to MKE? I've seen mention of it being in Madison but nothing for Milwaukee.

I don't think it did. Looked like it was a pretty small batch this time around.

Don't sleep on the latest batch of Golden Nugget if you find it. Not sure if they did anything different this time around, but the two bottles I had were better than usual.

Golden Nugget went back to the original recipe. It is definitely different than what had been coming out previously.

Looks like TG is expanding their Milwaukee footprint, which is great news. Ray's just got Sue 4pks/Dorothy's/1492 along with the usual suspects. Champs Brookfield will be offering bottles of the same.

Am I having a bad night or does this beer taste a little different? Less pungant? Something isn't jiving for me.

From what I've heard the 12 ounce bottles were brewed somewhere down in Florida so it is a possibility... haven't cracked one myself yet.

12oz bottles of glass are less rare than 22oz bottles of glass? I have yet to have it myself...but I am certain it will taste the same to me. Yay

I heard that the 12 oz. bottles are still from Decorah and that once they move to cans for Pseudo it will be brewed in Florida

The Florida brewing facility is in the process of adding canning machinery. It will still be some months before we start to see product in cans coming from Florida. The bottles are from Decorah.

And for those of you interested, the 12 oz bottles that came into Milwaukee this week (at least the ones I saw) were dated 5/15/15. The case boxes were dated 5/27/15. Not sure why the discrepancy.

Assured by Chad that the bottles dropped off at Champps Brookfield were from Florida, bottled dated 5/27. The citra doesn't bang quite as much, but its still a huge flavorful ipa, Oops I mean pale ale
