    Good Tuesday morning, BA's

Another grey and cloudy one, at least thus far....supposed to be 72 and sunny today!

Still feels like stout weather.....this is a pretty tasty dry Irish stout, bit over-carbonated though!

    Enjoy and drink well, peeps!

My hops are digging this weather....look at those burrs!! Damn!

Good morning BAs! Another crappy day here in NW PA - the rain clouds are out in force.

Nice imperial stout from Ninkasi. Thanks, New York, for distributing Ninkasi - at least it's available relatively close to me now!

Had a couple HopZones before opening this one, a steal at $6 for 22oz and the best IPA I've had from Elysian. Started watching Aquarius on Hulu and got a few episodes in, pretty bold for NBC and a good show so far. Cheers BA's and LNBA's!

Good morning, BA! Cracked this one open after purchasing it yesterday. I've been on a bit of an IPA trek this past week or so.

Beer #729 -- Moving Parts (Batch No. 04) by Victory

Best by September 28th, poured June 2nd. $4 for a bomber. I haven't had the previous three batches in the series unfortunately, but seeing this was a Belgian-y IPA (and being a fan of those), I knew I had to try it.

Appearance: Hard pour for a few ounces was a bad idea, as I got a massive head. Slowing it down, my pint eventually filled with a finger or so of a bright white head. There is a slight haze to this golden yellow colored beer, and there's a bit of patchy lacing as well. (4/5)

Smell: I hope you like Belgianiness: banana, clove, coriander, crackers/bread, a little bit of citrus, and a slight nondescript spiciness on the aroma. Other than that citrus aroma, this really smells less like an IPA and more like a Witbier... which, incidentally, is a style I don't care for all that much, but when hopped up, I tend to enjoy. Pretty nice aroma here, even if slightly underwhelming given my expectation. (3.75/5)

Taste/feel: Not quite hopped-to-hell as I was expecting and hoping for. This tastes exactly like the smell with varying levels of the notes I listed above. It tastes a lot like a Witbier with just a little bit of hop astringency -- a little earthiness and a twinge of bitterness. The finish is a threesome of banana, coriander, and breadiness, and is on the dry/chalky side. As it warms up, the nondescript spiciness I smell comes off a bit as rye in the flavor on the finish, which is great. The mouthfeel is excellent, as it's about medium bodied with a moderate level of carbonation, which makes this very, very drinkable. (4/5, 4.5/5)

Overall, it's definitely not the hoppiest Belgian IPA I've had, nor the most interesting, but it's insanely "crushable" and thirst quenching, as well as very affordable at just five bucks for a bomber.

    (4/5)

    3.99/5 (rDev N/A)

Well, damn. I had no idea this beer existed until this post. Eyes peeled now. Chocolate Manifesto is one of the best beers I've had, and this beer sounds great as well.
