Always outstanding with huge grapefruit/tangerine/pineapple/pine hops with light caramel/bready malt presence and a crisp finish with big robust hop flavors. I love this so much.


Really nice Belgo IPA as usual. Big apricot/mango/tangerine/grapefruit hops and banana/clove yeast; with moderate light caramel/toasted bread malt balance with nice spicy yeast/hop bitter finish with good balance. So delicious. Odd Side has been making a lot of new stuff I really enjoy lately. Quality has also gone up with the new brewhouse as well, comparing to last years batches IMO.


This is a downright excellent porter. Big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, and dark toasted bread malt with light char and balanced earthy herbal hop flavor/bitterness. This is just another spot on style example out of my many porter favorites; and I will get it again next year at least in single form, seeing as it is seasonal. This is another one that showcases Munich malt character really well. Munich malt in porters is my jam.


My go-to Biere de Garde basically. Aromas and flavors of big pear, apple, honey, biscuit, pepper, clove, and light banana; with some herbal/grassy hop and yeast earthiness. Balanced spicy yeast finish with really nice malt and yeast flavor balance overall as expected for the style. This is really delicious and robust overall; even if it is not as complex as some others in the style; it really showcases the classic flavors I would expect in the style overall. I really enjoy a lot of Vivant's offerings.

Making room in the cellar and this Deschutes/Hair of the Dog Collab seems to be at the end of it's stay. I really enjoyed the 3 I had, and enjoying my last one with my canine buddy who didn't have the greatest trip to the vet today.

 

I see all the cool kids drinking 2015 Hoptimum but I don't mind last years served cold..bitter and smooth. Oh yeah and the price is right
