I'm a father and a husband and damn good at both because I love each role with every minuscule bit of my soul, I've slipped up along this crazy journey that we all call life but I've learned from my mistakes each time, still have faults but my 'job' couldn't keep me invested in this existence if my heart wasn't in it on a much deeper level, can afford to pay all the bills, keep a roof over our heads and clean clothes on our bodies, and many toys in our rooms, and buy every barrel aged beer I come across and even afford FedEx to trade for ones I don't... this is how I judge my existence overall here on planet Earth (because that's what we decided to call it). Thx fellow BA's.

 

You're a hero. Thank you for giving 8 years and 3 months so that I have the life I lead in this country. Thank you. Please, contact me personally and tell me what kind of beer you like. I'd like to send you some bottles you might not otherwise get.

Finishing my PhD in a few weeks and starting as a Biology professor in August.

 

Currently unemployed. I've had seven job interviews in the past month, I'm waiting to hear back from four of those, and I've got another interview this week. My last job was as a legal assistant working in personal injury litigation, and my next one probably will be too.

Semi retired, work part time managing a recycling facility. I also am an expert wild mushroom picker, lyricist for a metal band (just finished first album, working on second album, a rock opera), and amateur fiction writer. Love these last three avocations too well to want to make money on them.

 

Thanks! It's a one-year position at a small teaching institution. However, they are giving me support for research too. So it's technically a PostDoc kinda faculty practice. Should be a good experience to decide a permanent route. My field is tropical ecology.
