Ok yeah, I get putting it in a bag but it still makes the beer undrinkable due to leakage, flat, etc ... ARGH, guess I better spring for a new replacement cap ... LAME :slight_frown:

Let me see if I understand this correctly...

The Bruery gave us some pretty spiffy looking growlers that are functionally pathetic/defective (they cant even retain liquid without leakage let alone hold in the carbonation.) AND they will only allow the usage of those defective growlers for the special fills for hoarders members? That cant possibly be right...

My trustee sent me my growler and it showed up half empty. I now use it as a glorified water bottle and it leaks every time its not standing upright.

Did I miss some communication somewhere regarding how to fix or replace the cap/seal to make it actually usable as a growler?

They were/are replacing some of them that were defective, or you can buy an aftermarket cap to make it usable. I've only used mine to transport cold brewed coffee thus far. I'd love the option to fill up other 32oz growlers but I also understand that limiting it to the one growler they gave us prevents people from rolling in with a dozen 32oz growlers and hoarding the special fills.

Have your trustee exchange it for you at the fulfillment center.

It appears that most of them are broken.

I could be wrong but I think they are replacing the entire growler, not the cap...and even then it might still leak. :\

Back in February, we had someone from Hydroflask come out to inspect all the growlers we had in stock. They took back the defective growlers and shipped us replacements. Our Society and Tasting Room staff has been instructed to test each growler thoroughly before giving them out to members as an extra precaution. At this time we are confident that the growlers we are giving out to members are working as they should. If we do come across a defective growler in the tasting room, the staff knows to replace it with a new one.

If anyone is still experiencing difficulties with their Society Member Hydroflask, please email me directly and we'll make sure you are taken care of.

    Cheers,
    Matt Olesh

So Kevin's fuzzy peaches is like top 5 bruery sours next to sourrento, sitr pineapple and coconut, and TOD cherries & vanilla. I wish the bruery would do this beer on a larger scale and bottle it. I know the peaches come from Kevin's backyard but totally worth it to get a large amount of the same kinda peaches and brew this beer :grinning:

Just wishful thinking haha. I could sit here with my nose in this beer all day.

Whoooaaa their fella. Sourrento? I've got two bottles I'll hook up with real cheap. I have zero desires to have that again.

As for bottling, sadly they said at SMM, that beer would be difficult to bottle. I don't remember the exact reason but both that and fruit salad are regulated to kegs...in their current state. (See what happens when you miss one SMM @tokimedo)

Might be the right time to finally get that taken care of.

Yup. Totally agree. I liked it more than SitR w peaches. Not as much as the Fruit Salad, but still a lot.
Actually that made me thinking that what I'm missing at the Bruery these days are nice, smooth saisons. That POG sour at the fwibf was something like this. Not overly carbonated, a little sweeter (from fruit, not from alcohol) and super smooth.

Speaking of Sour in the Rye with speeches, was surprised at the lack of second chance sale considering the amount of people that seemed like they missed out. I'm guessing they poured a good chunk of those bottles at the Anniversary?

There was a second chance sale, you just had to email them to gain access.
