The most recent pic that I have of myself and it's still at least 5 years old. I was watching the last band set up at a show at Volume 11 in Raleigh (R.I.P.) and a nice pro photographer that was shooting the show took my picture. She also got a great pic of a buddy of mine that was passed out, but that's another thread.

I feel that my avatar has given me the most incredible and wonderful thing that I have ever been given, and also, the worst.
    It's a mixed bag.
I have been taken to the, absolutely, to the depths of extreme terror by this.
I've had my whole soul undermined by it, on the one hand.
On the other hand, in one sense, my avatar has been about finding joy.

I had one KIA at Chickamauga ... Indiana. Brother to my third great grandmother, grandson to Gen Philson who fought off the British in 1812 in the south. Funny about how all that works.

Ha! Just gave some long overdue likes on this after seeing I had replied to this but don't recall what I said. I never answered the question, though, as I thought it was fairly boring that it was one of my favorite beers.

Reading some old posts in here from people who have changed their avatar can be humorous.

There's something about the vintage Guinness adds that really appeals to me. I have two ads on the wall in my "man cave".

It means that I'm a long-time gamer that loves me some LoZ. I just wish Nintendo would release a decent console for a change, something that can actually compete with Sony and Microsoft. I feel like they've practically given up. Rant over!

You can read the book by John Vaillant, or at least find a synopsis of it, if you really want to know.

Aw, Hell. I posted before on this thread that, y'know, I'm a house. But really, it's the dilapidated-ness that defines me. :-)

Since I first replied to this thread a while ago, I've been trying to come up with something deep. You know, something like

"Just like Bill the Cat, who is an outcast from society because of his taste in clothing, unruly appearance, and penchant for hacking up hairballs, I too feel outcast from society when I peruse the Stone and Berkshire Brewing Company beers in the cooler and a couple of people push past me to grab a couple of 40 ounce bottles of Steel Reserve."

True story, but not quite deep enough. I just think Bill rocks, and he reminds me of my college days when I first got into craft beer.

I looked pretty much the way your house does the day after I compared 60, 90, and 120 minute IPA side by side... full 12 ouncers all by myself. I remember very little else of what happened that day. I recommend that anyone else who tries it have someone take video.
