Heading to TC today to watch the Twins. Staying overnight, wouldn't mind browsing a nice bottle shop on the way from Iowa or downtown where we are staying.

What say you, folks? And don't tell me to wait til Sunday for a sale, please.

I assume you'll be taking 35 in to town so I'd say zipps or the S lyndale. Both are about 10 minutes out of your way but probably the best options.

if you are looking for a shop with a large selection of MN distributed beers, hit a Total Wine. there are two on your way into the twin cities, Bloomington and Burnsville.

    I disapprove. Support local stores.

A couple of other choices, a bit more out of the way, but not too bad.

Blue Max, east a few blocks of I35 at the W/E split on highway 42 in Burnsville.
If you want to venture a bit more off the freeway, France 44, (France and 44th) in Bloomington.

Use your GPS to find them.

France 44 is in Minneapolis, close to Edina and St.Louis Park and nowhere even close to Bloomington.

Well, I get to it by driving through Bloomington... (and not paying too much attention to city limit signs...)

Always thought of it in Edina. Apparently France is the border.

France is only the border near France 44, south, it moves over a road or few.

Yeah, support the nice local folks who refuse to sell us beer on Sundays because they'd rather not or god or something.

The best beer store directly downtown is probably Haskell's. But Zipp's and France 44 are both only a little out of the way and much better.
