Poll: How hardcore into beer are you?

I voted 8.
I love it. All of its history, its flavors and its complexities.
I've recently started brewing my own and can see a lot of money being spent on this hobby in the future... Depending on what the wife says at least.

 

I have a formidable glassware collection here. Every time I buy a new beer i look up what sort of glassware should be used then review the crap out of it.

 

I said 8, but I know I could make a case for 9 or 10. I feel as if I haven't met my full beer-geek potential as of yet, though. One day...I'm sure it will come.

The one brewery for life threads are actual interesting to me. It shows how people think about beer. Whether they would rather only drink whales that they might not be able to get their hands on all the time, or if they'd rather drink only shelf beer and have ready access.

I dunno how to rate myself. I hit about 4 or 5 killer beer events per year, I don't chase trucks, I don't trade, I occasionally tag along with friends going to bottle releases, but otherwise I rely on my neighborhood liquor store that has a pretty decent lineup, I drink every day, I go to irregular tastings at friends' places, in 3 brewery memberships, go to my favorite brewery every Wednesday, and I spend a bit on beer. 7 maybe?

 

Said six.. Cause I love beer but it's not like i trade for beers at all or travel up to the central coast for Firestone releases.. Never even been to Alpine .. Sounds cool but meh there's PLENTY of awesome stuff at my local shops.. Just need something tasty watch a game with

I'd say a 5 for now. Enjoy several craft beers, but don't really go out of the way to find stuff.

About 4. I'm not that kind of guy that takes field trips to obscure Nano-breweries for trade ammo. If I miss a beer release, I can almost guarantee I will live.

Of the list, I definitely go to a few of beer festivals, do a little trading/sharing of hard-to-get beers, having a respectable cellar, travel out of town a few times a year for beer, spend a bit of money on beer, hit a few of the local breweries and beer-centric establishments every week, and read about beer - mostly on BA.
