I was told each batch yields around 1200 cases. Sometimes 600/600 to VT/CT, sometimes they get more.

Yes 1,377 cases for a 100 barrel system if the beers are 12 Oz.

There are 128 Oz to a Gallon and 31 gallon's to a barrel so that's 3,968 Oz to a barrel. Sip's are 16 Oz cans, so a barrel (assuming no spillage during the canning process) would produce 248 beers (16 Oz not 12 Oz). So 10.333 cases per barrel, with 100 barrels = 1,033 cases.

Granted they can every drop and not put any in kegs.

Beer math is often a sign that a beer is about to receive the "great but not worth the damn effort" designation, right alongside Gandhi Bot.

Manchester W&L received theirs today. Two can limit. (They also have six packs of Grapefruit Sculpin behind the counter).

So this is a great beer, that I was consumed with finding for a few months when it first came out in cans. I'm glad that I've mentally moved on from the chase on this one. If I see it in a store, I'll grab it, but chasing it around to get 2-4 beers a month, constantly checking threads/facebook/twitter/etc to hope to find it -- it got old quick. Secret handshakes, people being lied to, etc -- not worth it. Give me a 4 pk of Dirt Wolf or a 6 pack of Sea Hag with no hassle everytime at this point...

I wouldn't call it "chasing around"... It's more the "knowing" of when it is being delivered and you venture to your nearest local store to get some. Although I do agree with the secret handshakes and people getting lied to (because I've seen it first hand). One time I went into a store and asked the owner if he had any Sea Hag (yes, Sea Hag) and he said he was all out. I sh*t you not... while looking around the store for something else, I see and hear one of his regular customers come in, ask for it, and he said "wait right here, got some in the back". And yes, I said something to the owner who mumbled his way through the very short-lived conversation and ended with something like "oh, he's a regular".

I'd agree that they are both really good beers, but Sip is great...plus I just got 4-pack and am going to get another one shortly! Def keep your ears and eyes open in Manchester today or tomorrow. Good luck

Beer guy at Kays Wines and Spirits said Sip later in the week for them. But they did have grapefruit sculpin 6pk cans and 6pk bottles as well. No limits right in the cooler and on the floor. Also grabbed me a dogfish American Beauty Grateful Dead- pumped about that never had it been hunting around for it forever..

Sea Hag is a hassle these days too in many areas.

Appreciate the heads up, I stopped going out of my way for this brew and haven't had it in months, but felt compelled to pick some up because of your post. Picked up 2 cans...canned yesterday, hot damn. Also, for those of you looking for GS at MW&L, only took a quick look, but there appeared to be 4-5 six packs left (cans).

Picked up a 4pack dated 6/8 at Valley Wine in Simsbury, it was on the shelf but appeared to be one of the last ones. They also had lots of Grapefruit Sculpin, NYFRB, 6/6 Sea Hag, and 4packs of Enjoy By! Could have spent a fortune in there.
