I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, time to suck down some Superpower and canned Lilikoi

EDIT: Grapevine has those cans for $11.50 for a four pack?!?! OUCH. Nearly $3 per 12oz can of a (VERY DELICIOUS) passion-fruit wit? Harumph.

The cans should be out soon in Chicago so they should start distributing outside of IL soon I figure. Hopefully we get more than just the cans. Their s'more beer and Sure Bet their Mango DIPA are top notch.

that's great to hear since I just tried to bring a Pipeworks back in my luggage and the Chili Imperial Stout leaked all over everything.... I even tried to tap the cap. Nothing like a suitcase that has delicious smelling beer falling out of it.....

Bummer. but hey, at least the bottle didn't break. Believe me, nothing worse than the mixed aroma of Drie Fontienen and Westy while picking shards of glass out of your clothes.

I actually think TSA sabotaged me on my last trip back from Las Vegas. I had a can of Joseph James Hop Box DIPA discharge and get all over my luggage. When I looked at the can, it had a circular puncture wound like someone stabbed it with a pen or something sharp.
At the very least it smelled good :stuck_out_tongue:

TSA straight up stole 750s of New Glarus from me, and then of course a few 12ers broke. But hey, it's the TSA, not like anyone thinks they actually do any good.

Was just curious... do airlines allow alcohol to be carried on? I don't fly much, so I've never tried.

I don't think you can bring any liquid above a ~3ish oz. container in a plastic bag through security.. so, i don't think any beer would fit...

Well, soon enough you won't have to put it in your luggage. I see a slogan here- "Tivoli Distributing Company- saving Coloradans' suitcases since 2012"

You can purchase six packs and specialty bombers of Schlafly beer at the St Louis airport from their "To Go" area. It's past security so you should be ok there. I'm confident that you can't open them on the planes. They're sold room temp so save them until you get home. I'm surprised more places haven't done this.

With how many people come to Denver on beer trips and wanting to bring stuff home, seems like a liquor store in the terminals selling craft beer could do pretty well. You wouldn't even need to pack it all that carefully, just have an extra carry on that you can load up

    Was a checked bag.

Sounds good in theory, but with just about every airline these days charging crazy fees for checked bags (especially gate-checked) it sounds dangerous.

You wouldn't have to check your bags though, that's the best part. A store in the terminal, i.e. you buy after you go through security, so then you can carry it on. Without having to pack a bag carefully enough to be checked, I think I could get another 5-6 bottles in a carry-on, would not have to worry about the 50lb weight limit (though the size of a carry-on that fits in an overhead might rule out 50+ lbs of beer anyway), and wouldn't have to wait for a checked bag when I arrive.

People already check bags to bring back beer, a store in DIA so they could carry it on might have potential. The problem would be keeping it adequately stocked with the beers people actually want to bring back
