Thanks to Johnny ( @kojevergas ) for the Top 250/ Top 100 Double/Imperial Stout tick hookup. And because I love all of you, here's some of The Dwarves live for your earholes. I actually was at this show and I'll be damned if it wasn't the best show I have ever been to. Enjoy1

Oatmeal Stout. Brewed with Maris Otter, English Chocolate and English Black Malts. Flaked Oats added along with Northern Brewer hops.

Pour is as expected, black and thick. Nutty aroma jumps out of the glass, followed by a subtle roasted coffee scent. Flavor is quite nutty (perhaps because I have not had a traditional Oatmeal in some time) and I like it, but there is also a pleasant sweetness to the mouthful. Slight bitterness at the end, not getting any pine (thought I would from the hop variety) but dissolves into silky malt finish. Creamy with full body, very satisfying.

My brother came for a visit, brought a few hoppy beers from a (relatively) new brewery in Maine. Labeled as a Pale Ale.

Quite hazy for a Pale, dark orange as well, slight chill from the fridge but not compromising the photo. Getting marmalade in the nose, solid malt backbone as well. Little bit tropical on repeated takes. Some orange rind on the tongue, more pine than I was expecting. Don't know what malt is used but it's present and well done. Medium body, no harsh bitterness in the mouthful. Expectations were low but this beer is serviceable.

I thought this would be a lot more sour, but it is labeled as a pale ale.
