    I look forward to this series every year, and wish I'd been able to acquire #1 in the series a little sooner, but I'm still really enjoying it. Ranger thinks I should spend more time giving good dogs treats and less time beer nerding. We'll probably have to have a family meeting to adjudicate this situation.

    Friday night I'm doing the Allegheny 100 challenge which is a 100 mile hike on the North Country Scenic Trail (in 50 hours) where it goes thru the Allegheny Ntnl Forest in PA. Tonight is all about packing and making sure the gear works. Tomorrow is all about driving to the Cleveland area and hitting up Brew Kettle, Fat Heads, Willoughby, and Hoppin Frog.

    Damn, that sounds amazing and quite intense…2 miles an hour for two days straight?! When I thru-hiked the Long Trail I averaged about 2 mph with a 70 lb. pack on my back. I imagine you will be going WAY lighter than that…except those Hoppin' Frog bombers might weigh you down. Good luck!

    Down to my last two homebrews from a great BA. This is a Classic American Pilsner. Brewed with 6 Row, Flaked Maize with Cluster and Hallertauer Mittelfruh hops.

    Aroma has a pronounced grainy/husky characteristc from the malt. Light floral as well. Excellent flavor combination of floral from the Hallertauer and spicy from the Cluster. Livey mouthful, assuming from the maize. Smooth and refreshing, another solid lager.
