A little Sucks tonight.

 

Maybe none. I plan to hike thru the first night and then see how far I progress. I'm hoping to do 40 hours of actual hiking at 2.5 MPH which would give me 10 hours of rest. We'll see how the 5 hour energy / mountain dew strategy works.

Canned 5/28/15, and hitting the spot on this kick-off to a 4-day, beer filled birthday weekend. Going to be hitting New Glarus, Ale Asylum, Karben4, and Tyrannena. I am pumped!

Anchor Saaremaa. A bizarre beer, but an enjoyable one! Pity they don't seem to make it anymore.

 

Deep Blue Something? What gives, man?!

 

I generally stay away from "infused IPAs" but this just hit the store when I picked it up and the price was right. Better than I expected but definitely a one time buy.

 

"The Idaho 7" sounds like a famous bank robbing gang or something.

 

This is a reconstruction of an 1896 Michelob recipe. Rahr Pilsner Malt with Styrian Goldings for bittering and Strisselspalt/Saaz for flavor.

Billowing, cloudy head on a slow pour. Actually a little bit lighter than photo depicts. Aroma is that delicious malt, husky along with spicy Saaz. Taste is very unique, floral yet fruity. Could be my first experience with Strisselsplat, almost like a subtle blackberry flavor with earthy undertone. Saaz on the finish, quite dry mouthful. Delicious, this should be the beer of the masses!

 

No Ghandi Bot but there is always this NEBCO standard that is just a very consistent great drinking IPA.
