So much coffee aroma! I couldn't pass on this at $5.99 and I'm glad I didn't - solid coffee stout.

When the monks do something different, it is obligatory, for me at least, to drop $30 just to see.

    Cheers!

    Reviews:

This was quite tasty, but it tastes 100% like a American pale wheat ale. Aromas and flavors of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, coriander, wheat, cracker, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal/grassy bitterness on the finish; with a very smooth and crisp finish with very slight wheat creaminess. Good balanced citrusy and bready flavors; good robustness, pretty much zero perceivable yeast notes going on. I enjoyed it, but it's definitely not a witbier. I have a hard time believing they didn't use any American hops. If it's true then they definitely used a warehouse full of curacao oranges in this beer. It's very clean and drinkable.

Been sitting in my fridge for a while. This is deliciously excellent. Huge juicy/tart peaches, mango, pear, apple, and green grapes with good sized honey/candi sugar sweetness and light hay/grassy funk and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate tartness with a touch of yeast spice on the finish; with no cloying sweetness at all. Good tartness/sweetness balance. Very smooth and drinkable; a bit slick in the mouthfeel. This completes my Lindemans sweetened fruit lambic reviews, I've had all of them. This is right up there with the dark fruited versions which were basically equally impressive to me. Apple was the least favorable, not as bold as the other ones.

Very nice Maibock. Aromas and flavors of caramel, toast, biscuit, brown sugar, brown bread, nuttiness, raisin, plum, and touch of roast; with some herbal/spicy noble hop balance. Light earthy balancing bitterness with all around good complexity of bready malt flavors with a smooth and fairly creamy/bready mouthfeel. Very robust and enjoyable stuff.

Opened a 2013 Huna I received recently. This bottle has surely faded. It's very sweet and missing those notable spices and flavors Huna usually imparts.

I am usually wary of hype, but this is my first time trying this beer and all I can say is WOW. Far and away the best stout I have ever had.
