nebco is getting a new brewhouse!!!!

Are you only refering to the tweet? That seems pretty ambiguous to me. They could just mean the "new brewhouse" as in its been remodeled. More tanks is always great though.

 

The tweet seems pretty straightforward to me. "90 days until our new brewhouse and tanks are shipped to us." My emphasis added on the shipped to say that it seems to mean they are receiving something not remodeling.

 

It's quite well known that they are remodeling. They are adding a growlers only and tasting only lines to their existing place. I can't imagine they would be so casual in announcing a whole new building

 

By "brewhouse", I take it to mean the set up they are brewing on, not the actual building they are in.

I don't have Twitter, so can anybody post or link the actual tweet? I don't want to jump to conclusions since I know they have been undergoing renovations to the tap room.

But good god they certainly have needed more capacity. It felt like a quick step after they moved into their new place after Selden Street, things just went crazy after that. Let's hope we can get some more stuff on the shelves and on taps rather than just more Sea Hag and 668.

I think they have had a 30bbl brewhouse on order for well over a year (currently 15bbl); Last I heard they were supposed to get it around Christmas time (guess too many new breweries ordering equipment to get this kind of backlog). I am sure no one is more excited than Matt and his crew; doing a double brew back to back to fill a 30bbl fermenter I'm sure is annoying...

FYI - Brewhouse in professional speak is your actual brewing setup (HLT, Mashtun, boil kettle)

 

they're pretty casual about announcing anything. in fact, they seem pretty casual on the whole.

I'm not saying Sea Hag isn't delicious. If you had the choice, though, would you rather see Gandhi at your local packy or twice the Sea Hag? I think the decision would be simple for me.

the rep was saying the new 30bbl system will be delivered with in 90 days (the tweet in question) and will be up and running @ October. the taproom is still in renovations. no ETA on that.
