Rain sucked and watched the two people I parked next to change clothes and walk back. Maybe/hopefully they changed out of their wet clothes into dry ones to go see the brewery? That's what I'm going to tell myself.

I'll be back tomorrow with my beer loving wife in tow to round out the 6 bottles we'd like.

It was also nice to see Dan out there welcoming and thanking everyone for coming. I know it's common to see him and Deb, but it never gets old.

 

It was a quick, smooth operation today (minus the weather). After parking at 8:45ish I got today's release and some more Wild Bitter and was back on the road by before 9:30.

 

And I'll tell myself that the guy I saw rubbing the ink off his hand is just allergic to ink.

Things did run smoothly, despite the rain. Wild Bitter was going fast-- interested to see if it lasts until tomorrow.

 

Wow, NG runs a class operation. What a beautiful piece of property also! The wife and I will be back for the next one!

 

There are people washing there hands in the bathroom or leave and return every time

 

Bottle count update

 

I am coming from Milwaukee area will be there by 2. Do you think it's safe in saying I'll score 2 R&D Gueuze or no?

 

For Wild Bitter, didn't they hand you a ticket at the bottom of the stairs? Today everyone just queued up and paid, got a ticket there, and then picked up their bottles.

I see no reason you would have needed to rub the X off your hand if you were there early enough. I commented to the two guys I was with that if we put the bottles in the car, we could have just got back in line. With the rain it didn't seem like they would have cared/noticed.

 

You should be fine. I just got mine and there was no one else grabbing any. Plenty of wild bitter still available.

I didnt personally see it. If I did, I surely would have said something. There were peeps who did get "busted" for trying to go through the line twice after talking with my friend today, who works there. Lets just say, they are definitely looking into changing the way they do things now to prevent this down the road.

 

Selling tickets online before hand is the only option I see, which would end up costing us more since the website will want to take a cut.

I'd sure feel like a dick trying to pull a fast one of New Glarus after Dan Carey came out in the rain, thanked all of us for coming, then stood in the rain to shake all our hands. I guess that's me though.

 

We all have phones with cameras. Start taking pics of these hoarders. I didn't witness any because I was in and out early today.

 

If it wasn't for all the rain I would have been a little more vocal. As it stood, I was a drowned rat and it was still raining and I needed to get out of there to get to work.

I do know he started with a royal blue Apple shirt (an Apple store employee shirt). Then he changed into a plaid button up (not real discriniminate, i know!)
