Waldo's is fantastic. Had a few on tap at Edmonds Oast in Charleston, SC.

I saw the sheet born yesterday was one and a sour mash was the other one I remember.

I had this weekend in Chicago and was outstanding. One of the best examples I've ever had!

I really hope NY gets this release this year, last year I was told it only reached out as far as Chicago

You do realize that alcohol is a drug, right? And subsequently, the irony that you actively contribute to a website that is dedicated to drug culture?

    Bingo.

Caffeine is a drug. Alcohol is a drug. Nicotine is a drug.

Pot is less harmful than two of these three and that's just objective fact. I don't smoke very often, but I really wish we could just cut the bullshit about this stuff. Different strokes for different folks.

They were giving the unblurred version of that sheet away at the Chicago brewery last month. If I can find mine I'll post it.

Fair point actually. That said, I do live in a society where lines have been drawn regarding the legality of certain "drugs", and societal acceptance, however arbitrary, has a tangible effect on perception. I don't think the irony in my post is as strong as you want it to be given the current social norms.

You are most certainly right that societal acceptance plays a role. But, I think the key word is perception, and perception is not reality. Less than a hundred years ago alcohol was illegal and marijuana was not (at least not nationwide). The irony is what it is. The fact remains that you are engaging in a vice while judging another vice, and using legality as your basis for judgment. Just remember that both slavery and the Holocaust were not only legal, but insubordination to them was against the law.

That being said, I admire your ability to tactfully engage in discourse.

Fortunately, social norms can change, the more educated and intelligent our species becomes. If we limited our "societal acceptance" to whatever was currently legal, then there'd still be slavery, disenfranchisement of women and minorities, schooling and marriage inequality, and no legal pot anywhere (including where I live and you live, as a matter of fact).

Some laws, and some norms, are good; and should be kept. Other laws, and other norms, are bad; and should be discarded or amended. What separates the former from the latter is not merely what's en vogue with some alleged majority or powerful oligarchy. What matters is evidence, facts, consequences, ideals of fairness and justice, etc...

And, by the way, apropos of something (like what this thread was originally about), Lagunitas makes great beer.

Haven't seen it in No. CA an hour away from the brewery. Maybe by the end of the week, perhaps?

I was at the brewery the other day and asked the tour guide, who was the third employee ever at Lagu that the next "one-hitter" is an Imperial Pilsner

They had an imperial pilsner last year, so that's probably roughly the same thing.
