Visited New Mexico a few years ago and went to the Marble taproom in Sante Fe. Outstanding beer, easily one of the better breweries in the West. I wore a Marble t-shirt to the Great Taste of the Midwest a couple years ago and got more good comments than the Hill Farmstead shirt I had on last year - I think the folks who know Marble are always happy to see someone appreciating them...

I feel that Gubna doesn't quite get the love it deserves as an IIPA.

Some of Two Brothers beers in my opinion do not get enough recognition. I am biased because I live in the area, but the people there are great as well. Very nice and friendly.

Any very good beer you can actually buy at a local store on any given day...

I'd say Georgia beer, in general, doesn't really have a great reputation. And that's a mistake. Sweetwater and Terrapin are the leaders, but man the followers are coming quick.

Creature Comforts, Burnt Hickory, Orpheus, Jekyll, Monday Night are a few small breweries that are consistently making great, highly rated, beers one after the next. Tropicalia, the Didjits, Transmigration of Souls are just some of the highly sought after brews that GA is producing. It's just going to get better.

I live in GA and haven't really given it the due that it deserves. Not any more. GA is making its mark on the beer industry.

Now if we could just get the morons in the government to let these guys sell their own beer at the breweries, we'd really have a great thing going!

I am an advocate for Washington Beer! Sure, not all of our almost 300 breweries are gems, but a lot are. From Nano's like Foggy Noggin, Justice, and Geaux, to long standing craft pioneers like Pike, Boundary Bay, Red Hook, and Fish, to new bright lights like Wander, Bale Breaker, and Holy Mountain. From small towns like Oroville, to neighborhoods (Ballard) in a large city stuffed with breweries, from our long-time Ale makers like Silver City, Port Townsend, and Old Schoolhouse, to our Lager specialists like Chuckanut and Alpine.

Our biggest fest of the year happens every Fathers Day weekend, y'all should come: http://washingtonbeer.com/festivals/washington-brewers-festival.php

Agreed, Gubna is great! Even if it has changed over time, I still dig it.

My girl smuggled one into the movie theater for me last week. She went with an Anderson Valley Gose...

So true, they are killing it lately. I'm lucky to have a couple friends down in GA.

The D/IPAs coming out of SingleCut Brewing here in NY are awesome.

Don't know if they're underrated as much as they're simply up-and-coming...

For me, its Yards Brewing. I like their core lineup and I love that one of them is Brawler, an English Dark Mild ale with a nice low ABV. Their 12 pack is one of the few (Great Lakes being another) where I enjoy all of them.

I think Exit 4 (Flying Fish) is deserving of at least a 90 rating (if not a 95-98 rating by my palate)...I think that this beer does not get its fair share is due to the fact it is viewed as a Belgian Tripel and not an 'American Trippel' as it is labeled. If you get your hands on a bottle that is less than 90-110 days old, you will experience one of the premier Belgian IPA's that are available.

Coast Buster by Upland. Upland went through a big transition when they built their larger production facility and the quality of their products has improved significantly and Coast Buster is the best example of this. I also think 3 new breweries opening up in the area gave them a little kick in the ass too.

they are underrated because they are in bottles not canned, kind of expensive and Queens isn't as cool as other boroughs.
I personally am not crazy about them though - too much on the juicy IPA side for me.

I agree and would like to add that this happens way too much, I also enjoy Grain Belt for it's sweet corn flavor!

other than the fact that most lager styles dont get a fair shake in the craft community?

its so rare seeing topics involving kellerbier, schwarzbier or dunkel outside of the germany forum
