Has anyone ever packed up a great box, get it all taped up, stare at it as a masterpiece in packing and bask in its glory, only to remember that you forgot to pack the beers the trade was actually for? Fuck.

I did that last month - I think with the Horizontalhood? -I packed up a box and after everything was sealed, I realized that instead of including a Plan Bee "Farmstand Ale", which I had just purchased multiple bottles of, I had packed up a "Farmhouse Ale with Jalapeno", which I only have one of and am saving to share. So I had to unwrap and figure out the right bottle to swap out (which was difficult because they all were the exact same size).

So my AA box is packed and going out in the morning. I think my target is on to me. I ended up with a nice mix of wants and Locals, I actually picked up 2 bottles of one of my new favorite local IPA's on Sunday, one is in my target's box, the other one is mostly in my stomach by now. And here is a VBS and a VPS since I know some of you guys are into that...

My cousin lives around Rice and told me that all they did was sit around all day long waiting for it. It's tracking like the heaviest rain is going to hit me dead on tomorrow. Like I need 8 inches of rain 3 weeks before I turn my project.

Stay safe Houstonians, and remember: Turn around, don't drown.

I shit you not this happened: I've got an awesome regular trade partner in @Treebute. Even been lucky enough to meet him a couple times. I saw him post an ISO A Deal with the Devil and I had an extra. I told him I'd send him one. We usually have very loose trades so I pack a box and sent it off. He texts me that I didn't include the aDwtD. I felt like a jackass. I told him to check out Pizza Boy's tap list and let me know if he wanted anything else and I'd get it out next day. He chose something so I got it and packed another box. I forgot the aDwtD AGAIN! I'm lucky we are regular trade partners or I'd end up in the Bad Traders forum.

Steven I plan to get your box out this week and will pack that bottle first!

The first peanut butter beer I tried was Little Gruesome. Did not enjoy at all. Now I'm older and more educated (lol) and realize that bottle was infected. This is damn delicious, and I'm very pleased I have a bottle of Big Gruesome in the fridge (pretty sure from a local, but I can't be certain at this point).

Going to close out the night with Horn Dog courtesy of @Devman171 this will be 36 hours narcotic free... So go big right?

Ha! I think the problem is that I get so caught up on the "open trade" part of it, I forget about the easy stuff. And I didn't forget just a single bottle, I forgot a 4-pack. Luckily I'll ship in the am, and still get there on Saturday.

#VBS Something tells me there is a higher protein content in the malt used for this round of Jai Alai (one day old BTW #CL2015Fresh)

With zero expectations going in this is actually rather tasty for a $8 bomber (Not a beer, definitely a perry)

I have found with almost every Deschutes enjoy after date that you should really respect the label. I've had a number of their big beers prematurely and didn't care one way or the other, but have really enjoyed most of their stuff with a lot of age on them.

Bought one of these and immediately put it in the cellar to forget about.

I got this from the brewery back in late february. wasnt a huge fan of it but i think it would do better with some age to let some of those pungent flavors mellow out.

I TRY to follow the "drink it fresh first mantra" but the Deschutes always throw me off. But I've never had a really old Abyss/Black Butte etc. to know if it's worth it. My Deschutes cellar box is getting bigger and bigger and just hoping I like them enough later on to justify the expense today.

Did a 6 year abyss vertical last year. Year 4/5 were by far my favorite. Crazy smooth but still retained it's profile well.

You should look up "standing" as it applies to legal terms, because Amnesty International you ain't got it.

    Nicely worded though.
