Stearns Liquor has gotten a couple times, The Cellar in Whittier maybe. When it does show up, it usually sells quickly

I ususally pick them up right at the brewery, though on occasion I can pick up them up at the grocery store down the road from my house. The grocery store usually just has Kriek, Gueuze and Rose though.

Just get yourself a time machine and go back about 7 years, most stores will have it in stock.

Wholeheartedly agree. I had Fou Founne this past weekend. A major want on my list and I was pretty disappointed. I was just expecting so much more in fruit flavors and the tartness I've come to expect from a lot of major sour producers in the US. A lot of people who rave about Cantillon and other Belgium sour producers just have the pallet for it and enjoy the minerality and musty aspects I just can't find in the US. It's oddly very similar to wines I've heard where many French wines will lack fruit but have that mineral taste that some just really enjoy. Still Cantillion is definitely great and worth the hype on many levels but the hype has got out of control.

The only Cantillions I've found nothing holds a candle to is their gueuzes.

I had a Cuvee Renee a few weeks ago while watching the Belmont. For something like $10/750 ml, it served its purpose and was damn good. Same with gueuze from Timmermans. If you just want some delicious sour beer, plenty of options out there.

It's a longshot but you could contact the importer and ask who the distributor in your area is. Then have your local store keep calling them until some is available.

They will tell you its ultra rare and they get it in limited quantities and to check your local store.

Check out K&L in Redwood City. Never been inside the SF location. They have some Drie Fonteinen. Just the standard ones though.

As a sidenote, if you ever travel elsewhere in Europe even, shipping between countries is often crazy cheap. I just used one of the Belgian sites to buy some Loons/3F/Westy, shipped from Belgium to England for $10 (god bless the Euro exchange rate). So, if you can't make it to Belgium but are in the general vicinity, you might get by that way too.
