Curious as to what are people's personal white whales. That is, a beer you've been steadfastly seeking but have yet to get your hands on. For me, it's probably Prop. A beer I really want to try and have been seeking out, but somehow has managed to elude me to this point. Yours?

Mine is treehouse Green. The brewery is only a 2.5 hour drive from me but I just never seem to hit it right.

KBBS. I want it so bad but people want an arm and a leg for a bottle of it

Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock. The fact that not only do I travel to Michigan every year, and have done so for the past 13 years, but have relatives visit us TWICE a year for the past 13 years, yet I haven't managed to come across this elusive yet luscious sounding beast confounds me greatly.

BCBCS. I was once in a bar that had it, and it was either that or batch 1 of RR Consecration. I was in a hurry or would have had both. Alas...

When I had first gotten into craft, I had this at some special keg tapping event at a bar by me, and thought "gotta remember to seek this out." Like, go down the block to the beer shop and buy it

About 2 weeks later, the reality of what it takes to get this smacked me right in the face.

Mine is Heady Topper. Might not be a true whale, but it's been on my list for years now and I have yet to try it.

Wow, thanks for stealing my thunder dude :stuck_out_tongue: But seriously, this is my white whale too. Living in Maryland means it's extremely difficult to find anything that will trade for HT (though not impossible - I've yet to put my 2 French Toasted WnB bottles on the trade market yet, because lazy )

Mine was Rare. Now that I have a bottle, it's probably either Vanilla Dark Lord or...hmm, Very Sour Blackberry? I've tried to stop thinking in terms of "that one beer" since there's sooooooo much great stuff out there now.

Pretty much anything from Jester King sounds amazing yet pretty damn unattainable for me. Also love to try all of the Westy brews besides 12 (had it but style-wise I find it the least intriguing out of their line up)

LaTache Rum Barrel with Peaches. There were very few bottles to begin with and there are very few left from what I understand. People who have it don't seem to want to give it up unless it is for something equally rare.

VSB for me, released at a time when I completely forgot about New Glarus. Been offering up other whales but it hasn't worked so I guess it will never become a reality.
