nebco is getting a new brewhouse!!!!

I love the quality control @ nebco never an after taste or a poor quality beer.
I like how everything doesnt lay on the shelves, even 668 flies off now a days.

...and I've never been to a better tap take over than when nebco does it. especially locally. always dry hopped casks of this and BA verisons of that. lol. always unique. (many tap takeovers just run a brewery's standard stuff. nothing more than what you can get at the store)

 

For the people who have been to NEBCo for growler fills: What would be a recommended time to get there if they open at 3? Do a lot of people start waiting in line outside around 2ish??

 

Lining up at 2 would place you in front (if not first) and out with fills in 10 minutes with the old setup. Will be interesting to see how the remodel flows. But there is fresh batch of Ducks out so may be wise to arrive earlier.

 

Just showed up and I'm 11th in line for Wednesday.

 

It was on at like 2 or 3 places in Danbury last week/end...

 

Late to the party! Are they back open?

 

Next Wednesday. And we are all speculating that ducks will be on, since they brewed a batch during renovations.

 

Heard a rumor (quote me, include rumor) that Ducks will not be on when they re open. But there will be other nice surprises. I'll be happy with any beer they have on just excited to see the new space.

 

Part of me almost hopes that they DON'T have FBD on tap next week. The lines will likely be crazy regardless considering all of us fanboys are anxious to get our NEBCO fix after waiting an entire month. Adding Ducks to that would likely result in lines of epic proportion.

Full disclosure: I'm not into the FBD hype as much as most people are. They make about a half dozen beers that I actually like better and I realize how insane people go to get their hands on this beer, so I understand if most people disagree with me.

 

i even like fbd as much as the "holy shit FBD!!" people (i mean, given my early review of it, i can't really dis exuberant ducks praise), but i'm glad when it's not on. i mean honestly, where some breweries occasionally hit homeruns, NEBCO is pretty sure to have like 2 grandslams on no matter what, so if you miss a beer it really doesn't matter. i haven't gone there and left with fewer than 2 growlers in a very long time.

 

FB said they reopen Wednesday

 

There's at least 1 more spot in Danbury waiting to tap it, or just drive down to the coast. There's a tapping at 4PM today in Orange

@NewEnglandBrew: Wednesday's line up will be, 10er 2, 10er 23 (7.2% Nelson/mosaic ipa), gbot, hag, sorachi ace French Saison, 10er 22.

Not me, copied from twitter. I was at GW carsons a few weeks ago when they had a cask beer, nelson mosaic IPA, and i think it was 7.2% so it looks like the same beer to me. It was delicious. Fat ten-er #2 is awesome! Im psyched. I am still not convinced we won't see ducks at some point soon.

@NewEnglandBrew: On back up for Thursday or Friday will be a juiced up variation of fat-ten-er 6 (hallertau blanc/Nelson hoppy blonde).

I've been looking forward to the Nelson/Mosaic IPA since they tweeted they were brewing it.

I thought on facebook they said FBD wasn't going to be on for near future.

 

@Evmo31 Sorachi Ace saison will be on tap? Interesting. Looking forward to trying some of that Ten'er 23 though, sounds amazing. It will probably be their best one yet just based on that hop combo.
