I came from work today to find my beer fridge in the garage had stopped working (I think my kids left the door open too long). The beer wasn't warm but had started beading up pretty bad. I moved the beer into the house fridge. Should everything be okay? I've started a fairly strong cellar (in Florida it's our fridge) and had all types of beer. Thanks in advance for advice.

You are completely fine, no issues at all. Only large temperature swings will truly have adverse affects.

Just try to keep them at a consistent temperature going forward. Cheers!

you should have no issue's other than maybe having to buy another fridge

Everything will be fine. Cellaring temps deal more with the speed that flavors develop/drop off. Sunlight is what does real damage.

Thanks unfortunately I may have some questions to answer from the wife when she comes home and sees the fridge.

Maybe you should drink fast so you don't have to worry about the questions from her.

You might want to install a padlock on the new one. Just sayin'.

I would like to know what kids are doing in the beer fridge. You must have trained them well.

Though it's been said, I'll offer you one more comforting, "it'll be fine"

Nothing will be okay. In fact, I'm pretty sure that there's a prophecy which foretells of an apocalypse following the failure of thy beer fridge.

Sunlight is the enemy. Temperature is no big deal unless you're dealing with "live" beer that are bottled conditioning. Temp could kill the yeast but sunlight is by far the bigger problem.

They are toxic. Send them to me, I know how to properly dispose of them. You can trust me, I'm a scientist.

you sure the fridge is totally dead? Sometimes they have overload protectors on the compressor to keep them from overheating from running continuously. I'd try plugging it in once more and see if it has any life left in it.

What's gonna happen really? A 20 degree temp swing is gonna make your beer go bad. Nope. Relax and have a beer.
