Usually I drink 99% ipas or double ipas, select stouts, but went and got a 4 pack of guinness foreign extra tonight. Forgot how DAMN good it is. I still probobly have a regular guinness once a month though or so.. How many of you guys still like guinness or how many of you guys never mess with it due to so many other awesome options.

I remember when it was one of the only games in town. Now, there are so many more rich options. Truth be told, I haven't had a Guinness in years.

Guinness is my go-to when I end up at a dive bar with no better selection. I can't stomach BMC anymore, but I can put down a Guinness. Otherwise it won't be something I would choose given a better choice.

    I liked Guinness...until I knew better.

Draught? I prefer Murphy's by far. Otherwise Guinness Extra Stout is okay. I avoid Foreign Stout, just because I rarely see it and it underwhelmed me. Guinness on tap in Ireland is amazing though. So it Beamish and Murphy's

Guinness is solid if there are no better options available. And I do still enjoy an Irish car bomb from time to time.

I don't drink it that often. But it's great. Have loved it in Dublin on tap, have loved it in draft cans. It's what dry stout tastes like.

Have tried dozens of times to enjoy Guinness and can't get into it. I would love to try it in Ireland, because the version I've had in the US does absolutely nothing for me.

I still enjoy Guinness. However, I don't find it to be thick, heavy, or strong in the slightest anymore. :stuck_out_tongue:

It has always tasted so watered down and not very much like a stout to me, although it has probably been 15 years since I've had one...never liked it, never order it.

Guinness foreign extra stout is fantastic, and it's available almost everywhere. I don't buy it too often, but when I do I'm never disappointed.

    GUINNESS FOREIGN Extra Stout.

I think some are under the impression there's only one "Guinness" stout.

Guinness was the first stout that i drank and that was many years ago. I drink it if I am in the mood for a stout and there are no other options. There are so many better stout options around now.

It's palatable in a situations where better options don't exist. I've never understood the outright hatred for it that many possess on BA.

Thanks Rick. Ya FOREIGN EXTRA STOUT. Regular is good too. But this one is different like comparing a DIPA to a pale ale. Can't turn off the bold!!

Other than their foreign/export stout a coupla years ago, I don't really drink Guinness or many dry Irish stouts...
