Exactly. I believe Vintage 2014 was bottled August 2014 (clever name) - I'd assume there's a reason it was held back 10 months after being bottled before being released.

To be a "Gueuze" it needs to be brewed in Belguim, other wise it's
Gueuze Style. So Dan can call it what he wants

Yep, that's why I listed it as an AWA.

I agree that Dan releases beers when he thinks they are ready, but I don't see how that is necessarily "peak flavor." I think it's not realistic for a business to sit on and age bottles for years, because storage poses a challenge, so that is a factor for release date. I personally plan on aging a couple of these to see how these develop. I am expecting to see some improvement with age.

Yeah, if he releases them when he thinks they're ready in his opinion, well...Dan and I have very different opinions. Wild Peach was WAY too sweet when it was released. Some time in the bottle really helped that one out, drying it out and funking it up to make a product that was far superior to what it was fresh. Moral of the story is that I've heard this gueuze is a bit sweet and undercarbed right now. Time in the bottle will fix both of those things.

Plenty of Vintage 2014 served at the Wisconsin Beer Lovers Festival yesterday, the reps swear no one knows for sure whats upcoming, all depends on what Dan tastes in his barrels. These dudes are shrewd poker players, couldn't pick out any tells as to whether that was the company b.s. line or not
