    Holy crap dude! I just had a 2 year old Burton Baton about a week ago. I found the oxidation too strong; it was definitely old ale-dominant (vice DIPA). What did you think about it with 5 years?

    After the edit time ran out on the June Cellar post it changed direction slightly. Let's just say it (after properly warming ) there was brown sugary taste that I didn't really pick up on before. So, burnt toffee and strong alcohol with a little fig maybe? I also could almost make a quad comparison a little more so than an old ale.

    At two years, it was downright American Barleywine. Aged Bigfoot. Another 3 years might have helped mellow it out a bit. I've got one more to sit on, I suppose. :wink:
