    One which needs no introduction...

    Strawberry Short’s Cake is a golden ale. The addition of strawberries and milk sugar transform this beer into a rose colored nectar that has hints of cream and is pleasingly sweet. Biscuit flavors and aromas arise from the great amounts of Victory malt used in the brewing process.

    5% ABV
    25 IBU

    ... And when will this beauty be hitting stores?

    I could have sworn spruce pilsner was next. Did it get delayed again this year?

    So hoping this hits the Macomb stores next week in time for 4th of July. Was really looking forward to spruce pilsner, but this is a fantastic consolation.

    This is a tasty one, would be hard for me to rank it ahead of key lime pie and peaches and cream though! Love those two beers!

    I've missed out on this beer the last two years despite considerable running around. I've got next week off and this will get high priority.

    Hophead, can you illuminate us to what degree Short's has increased its production of the specialty beers this year? I'm just looking for a little reassurance, I guess. My local shops were out of Strawberry Short's Cake within 24 hours the last two years. Just me typing out loud but it seems like Short's could double the production of this beer and have no problem selling it all quickly.

    Production has been increased to the point where I would be VERY surprised if you do not come across any, especially within the first week. I suggest adding a few more shops to your list, to increase your odds.

    Short's Cake is one of those brews where I tell myself it can't be as good as I remember, and then I'm blown away again every year.
