    A day off.
    Some golf, some yardwork, then my daughter and grandsons will visit.

    Good morning everyone. It's a lovely, sunny day here in north Charlotte. I woke up, drank some java, checked my e-mail, then logged on to BA. Lo and behold, it seems that sometime last night, I was promoted. Went to bed a 'Savant', and woke up a BeerAdvocate Advocate. I believe this calls for a Little Sumpin' Sumpin' !

    It's been a long, fun journey, and although I've been consuming mass quantities for close to 30 years now, I still feel like I have yet to even scratch the surface. Here's to all of my fellow imbibers, and most especially to the hardest working man in show business: my liver ! Cheers !!!!

    Sometimes I get so caught up trying to hunt down all these rare beers I keep hearing about that I forget to take a deep breath and enjoy some of the amazing local beers in my area such as one of my favorite ales, the Fremont Universal Pale.

    Feeling good on a beautiful day. Just two of us golfing; we played 18 holes in 2.5 hours. Came home and mowed the lawn, and it's still only 10 AM! This calls for a celebratory beer.

    Good morning BAs! Got some Canadian Goodness here today, from my fairly recent trip to Buffalo with directions form @TurkeyFeathers. This might be my second highest rated beer - after bourbon-barrel Peche Mortel - certainly it's one of the rare ones that I've given a "5" in any category.

    I didn't drink this beer - I just put it in my mouth and it crawled down my throat on it's own - I swear I couldn't stop it! I've had other beers made with maple syrup but this is by far the best!
