Or they just legitimately thought at the time that they wouldn't work with them again because of cost and difficulty but now with found money due to increased Backstage Series prices, the emergence and high sales of All Day IPA and a bigger footprint, it's again a possibility?

It can sit on the shelf right next to dissenter.

Sounds awesome to me, I'll pick up a couple bottles. I'm sure everyone will hate on it because it's not barrel aged, but they still have one more coming this year, and the art prize beer.

Sounds good and will probably be good but holding my breath on the price point. It's not that everyone WANTS them to release BA Backstage beers... it's just hard to justify spending $18 on 750ml of an IPA.

Going to be hard to purchase this one without trying it on tap first. Suggested retail of 9.99 means 12-13 dollars at most metro Detroit stores. That's a lot for a 750 when lots of great big ipas and dipas go for that price in a six pack format. Two times the price of sucks 750.

Was told this is the same beer as Chief which has been on/off again in the taproom for some time. Chief is absolutely delicious so looking forward to this.

Chief was delicious, but for the price I'd probably just pick up a growler of Red's

A lot of the griping has nothing to do with wanting BA beers, etc., it's just a recognition that $0.40/oz is a lot to pay for an IPA. That's hardly elitist.

Sounds like it should be very good. If it's 9.99, awesome. I've got no problems with it. I've paid a lot more for shittier beers. But with the entitlement most founders fan boys have, will this sit on the shelves?

I predict that it will both be good and will sit on the shelves. Still tons of Blushing Monk on shelves even!

I agree. And I still see a ton of blushing monk sitting around. I think it'll be around when this hits to be honest. When I'm being offered barrels of it, I know there's a shitload of it left.

I still don't understand why they wouldn't put a release like this in a 4 or 6 pack instead of the large format. It would be so much better received. I have thought this since day one with Dissenter, which was a great beer, and I'm willing to bet wouldn't still be on shelves if Founder's had made a wiser packaging decision. I am not against large format bottles by any means, but when it comes to hoppy, more perishable beers, I personally go for a 4 or 6 pack 8/10 times. I know so many other people feel the same way. Founder's should pay attention to their sales history, because I'm pretty sure it will reflect this opinion.
