    Happy wed. Ba. Back at the swizzle inn for a little liquid lunch aka pints of stellar Artois. Bermuda is beautiful but the craft scene is pretty much non-existent. Last full day before heading back to the states,

    Switching gears to something I can sink my teeth into after a seemingly endless parade of hop monsters lately. It was refrigerated and has held up well thus far with prominent coffee flavor. Cheers all!

    Well this beer is darn good. it's fruity and tropical. Citrusy breezy AND showcases a lightish but defintely dark malt. If bells could redeem all the beer from this planet series that we all said we just did not like then they brought it home with this one. Those malts are black and even sport chocolate and don't go breaddy and don't obscure the fruit. It's good and bitter too with a coffee linger in the aftertaste and grapefruit.

    Mornin' BA's! Just past 11:30 here in beautiful, sunny NOVA & my unofficial weekend begins...now! The GF's at work & I'm on chore duty, but just between you & me, I'm also on beer duty :-) Thought I'd start with something mellow before breaking out the big guns:

    Yeah, not the best brew OR pic. Some of last night's carnage can be seen to the left, I wanted to get some of the porch in the shot too (y'know, 'cause Porch Rocker) but it just didn't happen. Oh well.

    Since it's my 'Saturday', I thought this might be fun:

    First reaction, seemingly unavoidable considering the world class original: What are these hops doing in my Duvel!? But it grows on you. It really does.

    Halfway through family vacation. Wife and daughter napping, daddy on the porch. Found this fresh (best by 4/24/16 - still using year out?!), has creamier mouthful than last cans I had, very enjoyable.
