Anyone heard ~ how much of this will be produced? Curious if the cans will last more than a day?

Not sure the exact amount produced, but considering there are no limits at the brewery for the release on Saturday I assume they made a good amount of it. Excited as hell that this beer is available in cans this time around.

It's weird to me that they specified "no limits"

Who is loading up on multiple cases of a 10% DIPA? It's a good beer, but it would be genuine challenge to get through 24 or more cans of it while its still fresh.

Anyone going on Saturday who wouldn't mind grabbing an extra case with a discount for their own case? Let me know :-) Have to be at a wedding on Saturday and worried they'll sell out before the following week.

When OTWOA was rereleased after brau reopened there were dudes buying up 5-6 cases.

I wouldn't be surprised to see that repeat here

Never underestimate the buying capacity of people who think shipping canned IPAs across the country in the middle of summer in un-air-conditioned vans is a good idea.

I was planning on heading to the brewery Saturday, but I've never been to DC Brau. Should I expect a long line? And is SA a pretty standard DIPA? I'm assuming it doesn't have a malty backbone that would make it conducive to sit on for a little, right? Would love to hear some insight from those that tasted it last time or have been to a DCB release. I'm totally free on Saturday but want to make sure a trip is worth my while! And I would estimate a 6er is same as OTWOA, at $18 probably?

Double check before you make plans, I think the release is not at the brewery but at a hotel in the city somewhere.

FB post from DC Brau: Yes, Solar Abyss cans will be available for purchase at Saturday GH. They will be one day old. There will be no case limit.

The Sunday release is at a hotel but they're selling cans during GH on Saturday.

Given that this beer has never been canned and people love it, there will most likely be a line. IMO, this area lacks top notch DIPA's, so when something like this comes out demand is always increased. Just get there 10-20 min before the places opens if you don't want to wait long. That whole setup they have in the entrance really doesn't help the lines move. It just becomes a giant clusterfuck of people getting their pours, merch, 6 packs, etc. The space is small though, so I guess I really can't complain.

I beleive that it is essentially OTWOA, but with Mosaic hops instead on Falconers Flight. I'm sure the price of a 6er is about the same. Doubt it will be any less than $17.

$17.99 or $18.99 is my guess.

Isn't that the same as OTWOA? $17.99 pre-tax?
