Drinking my first bottle now...perhaps my hopes were too high but overall it's not really living up to the hype for me. Too spicy, too boozy, and missing some of the complexities of a beer like Bomb! Hoping that warming up will help it....but what are everyone else's thoughts?

In my opinion, it's a very good beer, but with how it's been trading (way over what it should given that it gets distribution and how much is made), and how highly hyped this most recent release has been, yeah, it's probably not going to meet a lot of people's hopes. That said, it's better than all but Huna as far as that style goes. I can't speak to the barrel variants, but I hear they're quite good as well. I'm also of the opinion that literally anything that isn't an American Adjunct Lager benefits greatly from warming up.
Just went on a wild Goose chase only to not get one bottle. I hate all of you. O well, I just added some Cinnamon and Habenero to my Milk Stout and filtered it through a Coffee Filter. Surprisingly not un-delicious!!!!
Anyone could start an "overrated" thread like this about any beer with a high rating (or the reverse), but let's not. Instead, check the reviews. It's why they're there. Perhaps you just don't like it. Review it (or don't), and move on.
