Retaliatory feedback from @VT2CA. Help?

    I agreed to a trade with a new member with 0 feedback. We agreed he would ship first. Long story short this was 3 weeks ago, he missed an opportunity to ship to me when I was in CA, then missed an opportunity to meet up or ship with him when I was in his city, and finally he just backed out completely. This was after 3 weeks of him largely ignoring my messages. I left negative feedback, he retaliated by doing the same even though I did nothing wrong.

    can this be deleted from my otherwise perfect feedback?

    One of the strengths of the BA fb system is that there's zero tolerance for fb retaliation. That's been demonstrated repeatedly.

    Exactly. I'd be surprised if his (highlow's trade partner) account survives this.

    user @VT2CA is in a temporary timeout since he was continuing site activity despite the ridiculous feedback.

    that's why you ask new traders to go first, but man what a PITA to be given the run around for 3 weeks. but thats why we have feedback :slight_smile:

    Well, one would hope the ban hammer drops on this one as @F2brewers suggests. I count myself lucky I didn't come across anyone like this dbag when I first started trading

    since he has almost no posting history, his posts still need to be approved by mods.

    several unpleasant ones have been deleted. just another reason why he's sucking a pacifier right now.

    I just hope he doesn't have a revolving membership. His total indifference to his acct suggests that he might.

    I'm glad he's on at least a temporary ban. He's been active & posted an ISO:FT thread over the weekend.

    we have ways of looking into these things. :wink:

    the new verification system is part of the evolution of trader protection, but not the end of it. the dedicated scammer can (almost) always beat the system, but the more hurdles we put in place, the less incentive there is to try. eventually, you get caught.

    we'll see how well (or long) verification works; the next steps are already under discussion...

    The verification recently implemented is a good idea. People should still proceed cautiously but verification might help some.
