I am not brewing this weekend or ensuing week, but I am hosting our Home Brew Club COC and Lawn Mower Beer Party tomorrow. Should be fun even thought I just got word that we only have 2 COC beers to judge as well as our first 100*F day in the Valley. Might rack my Brett aged Porter into a keg, add some bourbon and cocoa nibs to it, and then give it a few days. Saisons from last weekend should be ready sometime this week, maybe.

    How about y'all?

Brewing a Galaxy IPA along with two batches of Berliner Weisse. I think I am going to bottle a portion with brett after really enjoying my test bottles from the last batch and bulk age another portion over brett and blueberries.

Picking up some ingredients for a Rakau pale ale/IPA borderline beer, but might not get around to actually brewing it until next weekend. I feel a lazy weekend coming on

I'll have an ounce of Rakau left over from that whenever I brew it, so on Sunday I'll be chucking that into the second half of a keg of simcoe/cascade/centennial pale ale that is losing some of its liveliness.

Getting after the whirlpool experiment brew, so an IPA that is split post-boil, one kettle will be whirlpooled at FO temps and the second will be cooled to 180F for the start of whirlpool. Plan is to have 12 gallons split into 4 fermenters, two fermenters will be dry hopped and the other half will be non-dry hopped. Collaborating with @Naugled and Marshall @ Brulosopher so we can each draw our own results. Should be interesting to see what we each come up with!

Just bottled a small experimental batch of jasmine-green tea EPA. Tasted pretty good out of the fermenter. We'll see how it is after priming for a few weeks. Gonna call it "Jade Dragon Ale" if it comes out any good.

Making our first Berliner Weisse style beer, the lacto starter has been going at 110 deg and hope to cultivate some great bacteria from grain. The batch will be split between sacc and lacto, rejoining when the pH has dropped and a short boil.

It sounds like you'll be boiling after saccharomyces fermentation. You don't mean that, do you?

Just finished my starter for the 2nd take on a citra and mosiac ipa. Boosted the hops and ABV. More hops and more alcohol is always better right???

Gosh no, boiling the lacto portion and joining it with the active sacc portion.

I just checked in on my IIPA I am brewing... Gravity of 1.002 after 7 days fermenting. Added 4oz of dry hop into my 4-gallon batch, the sample tasted INSANE. I can't wait for this one!! I guess that 150F 90min mash and 1/2lb corn sugar dried it out quite a bit... Love it!
