Not a big fan if this one.my recollection was a harsh English malt bomb.. Got a sixer last year and two or three of them died in the back of my fridge.

Michigan seems to be the last one to get a lot of these Founder's releases. Looking forward to it though!

"That's not coming back, though, right? They just did that for Artprize, I think."

Agree completely on the Mosaic Promise. I have family in GR and was lucky enough to have them bring me a case. Just incredible, the mosaic was so damn tasty. If I could get it,that would be my go to crusher. I actually emailed the brewery about further releases of it and they said, "

... "here's no plans to release it but you never know." I got movement when I read someone's post about having it recently on draft. Hopefully, that's a sign they may be brewing more!

I hope that the May dated bottles aren't going to show up in VA, but I'm sure they will. They still have last years on the shelves at TW...lol.

I'm interested to see how much Double Trouble moves this year. I remember a ton of it sat on shelves several months past their bottle dates last year. Everyone better double check those bottles before you make your purchase.

I asked and they rebrewed it. Not old stock.

I like DT, but it's not in the same league as Harvest.

I thought this was awesome when I had it last year, and was pleasantly surprised to see it on the shelves at Woodman's this week. Not as good as I remembered it. Didn't seem quite as balanced.

I was never a big fan of DT but I had it last week and it was much better than I remember.

I had a 2014 left over, did a side buy side comparison. there was not much difference the 2015 release just a little sharper.
I have been drinking IPA s and Double IPA since the late 80s and never hesitated to stock and hold a good IPA. I think the age of an IPA not as important as everyone seems to think. It may be that my palate is not that good. Like my hearing I have a hard time finding flails in digital recordings versus vinyl

Not to be argumentative or saying personal tastes are the same for everyone, BUT it is 100% scientific fact that hop oils and alpha acids break down and lose flavor over time. Therefore, the closer an IPA is consumed after it's been brewed, the more hop forward and true to the brewers intended flavor it will be. So yes, age of an IPA is extremely important to most people who enjoy them.

No argument over the facts. Just wondering how many people have a good enough palate to detect the flavor loss.
