Starting a UK trip off right with a freshly drawn pint of Young's Bitter on cask at the idyllic Buckingham Arms. Yup, that'll play.

 

Good Saturday morning! It's 7am and overcast at Trinidad Lake. Thought I would try this beer out for new Sunday, but decided it would brighten up this gloomy morning:



Deschutes Brewery's Fresh Squeezed IPA. Just the juicy start I was looking for to start the day. Quite good.



I'm sitting on a cliff overlooking the lake drinking this tasty beer. It's going to be a good day! Cheers!

Good morning BA's. Going to be a soaker today, not to mention the monsoon that happened last night. Heading to an outdoor wedding tonight but surely they'll have a tent right? This will be interesting.

 

Greetings all Beer Advocate members, MST3K fans and non-fans alike. Today's the day! We will be having our (hopefully) first simul-viewing event tonight at 9:30pm eastern (this can be flexible for west coast viewers).



The episode we have chosen as of last week, as you can see above, will be long time fan-fave Manos: The Hands of Fate. Hopefully this gives you all a chance to choose a perfectly appropriate beer for the event, in case you haven't done so already.

Unfortunately for me, my schedule changed this past week (Graduation party invite), and I hope to be able to join you before the viewing begins. From here on out today I will be passing the baton to my co-host @WineGuy3000 , who will ably take everybody the rest of the way. My only other suggestion at this point is that at around 9:20 we begin posting our beers for the viewing.

A waterproofing renovation gone bad. We had to pour a new concrete cap on top of the existing slab. While prepping the slab for the new concrete, the old slab crumbled into the room below, my beer cellar. Miraculously, not a single bottle was lost!!



Today, we are knocking the entire slab off and will form for a new pour. When you have this to deal with, you need a big beer! I thought a full liter of Howe Sound’s Pothole Filler was an apt choice.

Bottle #2 from my case of Fort Point pale ale. I will have to make another trip up to Boston before the end of the summer! (and hit Tree House on the way)

Morning all! This week I received the spoils of a wager with my work colleague in Tampa from the recent Stanley Cup final. It was going to be Half Acre vs Cigar City. As the Blackhawks brought it home I ended up with a 2 weeks old sixer of Jai Alai. I have to say the added pressure of the bet got me worried early in the series.

Cat seems more interested in the sunbeams streaming in today.

 

Head Hunter IPA. And tending to a cascade hop plant. Good times.
