They sell past years' vintages at the 4 Elf parties. It obviously ages well. I had a 2013 on Easter and it was fantastic.

Looks like they are speaking, specifically, about the 2014 batch.
In general I think this beer is better with about a year on it; love it fresh & super love it a year old

I opened two 2014 bottles this weekend because the first one was so damn good I had to have another. I keep mine refrigerated though.

I wasn't able to get any of that. I'll have to just take your word for it.

Pulled bottles of 2014 BBPt5 from two cases. The first one's going down great. We'll pop the top on the other one tonight, but I'm sure that it will be just as good as the first. Thanks to the BA member that brought up the possible issue. Breaking out the bottles was a good reminder of how much fun we had sitting out in the cold last December to get our hands on this amazing brew. Might have to check a bottle of Double Barrel BourbRum PT5 to see how it's doing also.

I have had some great and some not so great bottles of 2014 BBPt5. Same goes for the BourbRum. Every one of the 2013s I've had have been amazing.

I recently drank a bottle of BourbRum. Was excellent. 2014 BBPt5 seems to get better with some age. 2013 is fantastic.

I haven't noticed any change as I drink mine. When you combine the volume you can buy, quality, cost per ounce, tradeability, and drinkability this is one of if not the best one day release in the country.

I've had one every other week or so since the release - the most recent being last week. While I think the bourbon does fade, I personally think it is still tasting great. For what it's worth, I had my last 2012 about a month ago and thought that was still great as well - but almost no recognizable bourbon presence.

I've had one specific issue with every single 2014 bottle. The seal on the caps were damaged and allowed oxygen in and/or beer out. Put 5 bottles in my checked bag to trade with a buddy in Phoenix. Every single one of them leaked beer onto my clothes. Not a ton, but enough to piss me off and reduce my amount of clothes for the trip. Don't know if it was a specific lot, but all of the ones I got were from a single case.

I like how this thread has gone from a 4 Elf 2015 informational conversation for a noob to a How are Vintages and Variations Drinking Now conversation. Strong work
