Glad you enjoyed both!! As far as Tired Hands goes Alien Chruch is one of my favorites, but everything they are brewing is really good.

That, my friend, is a gem. I never had it on vinyl, so I've always had the artwork available (if you're willing to turn the slip around). But, like CJ...

...I found the artwork a little disturbing as a kid. Or teenager; whatever. But damned if the GnR skull cross didn't wind up being one of the most fantastic album covers of all time, anyway!

Good Evening fellow NBSers and thank you @utopiajane for kicking things off so graciuosly in what seems like an eternity ago seeing as it's later in the day. But like the rest I have to pay the bills! AND because its 50 degrees today we are celebrating what I call Thanksgiving in July( almost). I get a turkey from the Co. Every year throw it in the freezer with the rest of the trimmings and on a crappy unsummer like day I make a "Thanksgiving" dinner. So getting ready to carve that baby while tasting this week's mind blowing new beer.....
    Proclamation Brewing Keraterra
Wine Barrel aged 100% Brett ale dry hopped with Galaxy and Mosaic.
Pours a hazy golden straw color with a nice white head that settles to a ring with spotty lacing on the tulip

Funky Brettish, with cat pee (good), fresh mown hay, lemon, white grape, tropical mango, fruity esters, white pepper, damp blanket.

Wine like flavors with tart oakiness almost like a sauvignon blanc crispness. Tropical flavors blend in along with citrus and lemon, tart green apple and juicy hops. Not overly sour and the Brett is light in its touch. Gorgeous mouth filling flavor that lingers forever with a touch of pepper on the finish. Absolutely delicious.

Dry, tart with light to medium body almost champagne like in its mouth feel but so well balanced .

Another mind blower from Proclamation. The idea of the Brett combined with the red wine Barrel aging and dry hopping with the Mosaic and Galaxy hops is just phenomenal. They pull this off with science and style like no other. One of the most unique beers I've had in recent memory. Truly a world class and original effort. Speechless really.
I'm only hoping production expands eventually so more can try this wonderful brew!

I know you sticklers for NBS ask for more lengthy posts, but aside from this being a darker hue, I can echo my previous post in every way.
This bier is to the style what a German train is to punctuality.

Wow, a second mention today on NBS about albums (or songs on albums) that I would consider for my "desert island excursion". Maybe I need to start up some tunes while enjoying these beers.

Second this. We're not that different from WBAYDN, but you gotta tell us a little more about the beer, and if you want, about yourself. That's why NBS is just once a week.

So I cheated and drank one of these earlier in the week, but wanted to share on NBS. Lakefront My Turn Series Tom - Citra IPA.
The Citra dominates the aroma, so juicy. I pick up citrus, orange, mango, and passion fruit. Floral, pine, and caramel malts round out a bountiful aroma.

The juicy hops really hit with tropical fruits and citrus on my palate. A nice flavor of citrus, oranges, passion fruit, and mangoes. A touch of sweet caramel round it out. A bit of bitterness in the finish. Overall a softer and delicious IPA.

50 degrees?! Oh, God, I could fucking dream of that today! What a bizarre year in terms of weather.

My GF's sister is from Portland, and her brother-in-law was checking the weather for when they return later this week - 100s and 90s (on a good day) following their return. Their trip here was mired in a monsoon-style rain, whereas it's normally 90+ and muggy when they visit. Go figure!?!

This is a very fine imperial stout. Nice chocolate and dark fruit with just the right amount of bourbon. Well done! Cheers!

Glad to hear you all liked Washington College. So far as I can tell from what I've heard from friends, your daughter is going to get a really good education there. Nice campus as well!

Re State Line, as with many bottle shops you want to watch the dates on what you look at, but otherwise.... BTW, IIRC they have a members club that gets a small discount on purchases.

My only time in your part of the country featured similar conditions. When I was 16 my family flew into Norfolk to do an east coast historical vacation, working our way up to Boston. Driving in a rental car up to D.C. we spent the first night at Williamsburg, then drove up to D.C., while stopping at Yorktown and Mt. Vernon. Somewhere between the two, several times, we experienced the most ridiculously violent 2-5 minute rain showers I've ever experienced. I grew up in a desert area, so 98% humidity is not to be laughed at!

Pulling out another from the BIF box - Union Craft's Double Duckpin.

Another new brewery for me. Seems to be a theme for this box from @larryi86, all new beers and many new breweries for me...

Having seen some of the other reviews for this beer, I had some pretty high expectations for it. An enjoyable DIPA, but I was expecting it to be juicier, more citrus aroma and flavor, and more hop forward. Perhaps I need to revisit another can at a later date...

Back for one more courtesy of @JNForsyth from the NBS/BIF #2. Sharing this sweet crowler of Murren River from Al's of Hampden/Pizza Boy with my bro. There is no date or abv. listed on the can but I'm sure it's uber fresh!

Pours a hazy deep gold color with soapy white foam. Looks like fruit juice. Score 4.25

Aroma is floral in nature at first, then follows with some mango and grapefruit. Score 4

Flavors of pine, some grapefruit rind, and a sweet malt backbone. Score 4.25

Mouthfeel is on the thin and dry side. Score 4

Overall a pretty solid IPA brewed according to style in my opinion. I would have preferred just a bit more of the tropical juiciness I've become a fan of, but still tasty enough that I'd put it in my rotation if I had access. I checked the reviews for Pizza Boy and it sounds like my kind of place! Final score was 4.17 rDev/-1.4%. Have a great week gang!

Another late entry for me. I just got back from Upstate NY visiting my inlaws. The weather in Cleveland is cool and sunny, though the entire trip back was through rain. I picked up several new beers on my trip, of course, but rather than chill/open any of them I opened a NY beer I already had chilled at home. The description reads Porter and since it's cooler than normal for the end of June, I figured why not give it a go?
I'm not exactly what to make of this, but a porter it is not. As you can see from the color, it's a translucent reddish brown. The nose reminds me of rye. Unfortunately the palate is very thin and rather devoid of any defining flavor. It's within it's best by window but I wonder if this didn't see some heat to break something down during its journey from manufacturer to retailer.

I don't mind the same temp so much as lack of sun for the last few days. I think this will be the norm from now on.
Regardless of what anyone says I can't see how the environment isn't changing after all we humans have done and continue to do to it...,.
