I used to trade for OB before it came to Detroit. Now that it is here I hardly ever buy it

What's most astounding to me is that I didn't even realize they didn't have an IPA.

So who's forcing you to buy and drink IPAs? For some of us, myself included, it's not a fad. It happens to be the style of beer I prefer. Yes, you're entitled to your opinion - but so am I.

OB one if not the top canned beer going!

I was really excited about Pinner, but it just doesn't do it for me. I've gotten spoiled after drinking Alpine Hoppy Birthday and Comrade Honeyman

I don't see what Oskar Blues is going for when they already have Dale's Pale Ale (which is borderline IPA already) and Deviant Dale's IPA in the stable.

Dale's, while fantastic, is a pretty malt forward APA. Being it has a lot of balance of malt and hops. Maybe they are going to use less malt and let the hops shine in this IPA? Who knows, but I can't wait to see what they come up with. My personal hope is it's a juicy/tropical hopped IPA, which I think would be an addition to OBs lineup unlike anything they currently have.

This has to be the first brewery in history to have a pale ale, session IPA, DIPA, and TIPA before releasing an IPA.

OB has a bad rep here for freshness, probably not their fault, probably lies at the feet of distro and the individual businesses. Usually a pass for me after I check the bottom on the can, but Dales is usually better off than Gordon's. Gordon's I've seen as much as 8 months old.

I guess the "Blue Dream" Marquee is for further pushing the "Dank" IPA Envelope. Regardless the marketing worked for me. I will try it out.

I'm hoisting a Revolution Brewing Anti-Hero IPA at this moment. It is part of the NBS BIF lovely gathering. This is from @WesMantooth and it is here to stay and no fad, my friends. This is a great IPA, and dry rangy ales will always tantalize me! This one is dry/sweet and lingering like a classy beer can do.

Where does Deviant Dale's fit into your timeline?

At 8% it's a DIPA, albeit at the low end. Gubna borders the line between DIPA and "TIPA".

Can't wait to join the fad! Oh wait, I've been drinking IPAs for 10 years now. Yeah, I'll be buying this one for sure.

Then Dale's is an IPA if you're using that argument. Either way I'll buy this one, since hopefully when I first see it, it will be fresh. Fresh/Draft of any of these beers is a great thing.
