I'm looking to a buy a stir plate so I can start making yeast starters for "big" beers. I'd like to see what the fellow home brewers have or recommend. I'm looking to spend $75-$100.

FWIW, this is the one I purchased recently. I needed something for my 5 liter flask. If I did not need to fit the larger flask, I would have purchased the stir starter. For about $45 you cant go wrong.

That's pretty impressive: pork loin at $1.99 and turkey breast under a buck . . .

It's almost worth driving to PA just to buy meat.

Nice fermwrap. I just got one and my beer has been fermenting at perfect temp. It's so nice. You recommended it on one of my posts about using the ranco with my fridge.

I'm kind of torn between the two links on this post. I eventually want to make 10 gallon batches of big beers so i would like to get a 5L flask. I have read reviews that the stir starter has burned out trying to keep up.
@IPeteA91 you really do recommend that one? I would much rather buy a good one then have to buy a better one later.

I have been using it for a year, only raises flask temp by 2 degrees and is very stable. The base is as big as the diameter of my 2L flask, much bigger than most of the homebrew plates I've seen.
