Peanut butter was just OK...cinnamon toast crunch, pour in 6 ounces, put in fridge for 15 minutes, mix with other 6 ounces for carbonation....amazing

Rare is definitely coming. I'd like to see a double barrel or maybe an oatmeal/russian stout

So is it confirmed that there will be no 4 packs for 2015 and beyond? I'm done with bourbon county if that's the case. I don't know anyone that would prefer bombers or 500ml.

I'll be annoyed but not pissed off if they axe Bourbon County four-packs for the two stouts. If they do that to the barleywine I will be outraged.

More people would get there hands on it in 12oz bottles. It's not like stores in most places sell unbroken 4pks anyway.

I have so much still that I'm in the clear, I can't wait for new bottles and flavors, especially if bottles are becoming vintages. I greatly appreciate all the contributed hints and tips from this thread, I must of missed this one! It will be so good to get an announcement from these guys on whats in store for November. Cheers!

wut? 2 years ago big places were getting pallets of BCBS. Not hard to get solid cases in VA/DC for about a month. Last year was slightly harder in DC, VA you could piece together a case with 3 or 4 stops.

Varies by region. Sells out in a few hours in MI, 1-2 bottle limits, and I know some states (though certainly not all) have similar experiences. Wish we had avail like that though.

Really? I know varies by region, but I've NEVER seen regular BCBS split into singles. I always wondered if it is just selling faster in established regions (as almost everytime I buy a different BA stout I think "dang I wish I had just bought like 2cs of BCBS" and saved $/oz and time). You might have more people who have established that train of thought, since GI has been in that market longer.

Places just don't tend to get much for whatever reason. Even the bigger stores in my area tend to get two cases of the regular and one each of Barleywine, Coffee, and the bomber variant. I've got a great relationship with the guy at my main store, but when he's only getting 48 bottles and has a lot of "regulars" like me to please, I don't blame him for not selling me a whole 4pk.

Theories abound as to why, but the main one is just that people in this area don't buy much regular GI. And Ann Arbor/SE Mich does seem to be a "high BA density" area, so limited stuff always flies off the shelves - when I travel out-of-state, I'm always amazed at what I find just sitting on shelves that sells out in hours/days here.

Essentially the same here. It comes and goes in a matter of hours at most places, always with bottle limits. And good luck finding any of the variants!

The voice of reason comes from half way around the world. My guess is you won't be flying in to grab a wristband to wait on line for this limited release...........Bourbon County B*ll Sh*t.

They can easily sell the 22oz format at least for BCBS. For barleywine I just don't think so. BTW I've found their barleywine just doesn't age well at all.

You really don't think they would be able to sell out of the barleywine just because it was in bombers? Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see it happen, but I have no doubt it would still sell out, and quickly at that.

Completely agreed. We may all be pissed about a format change, but it won't stop them from selling every last bottle and at outrageous prices to boot. Colorado is a MASSIVE distro state but even we are scarce on BCBS, almost every single shop I know of broke up their 4-packs and only a few cities even saw BW, let alone Coffee (no Vanilla at all). I am expecting this year's release to be a complete and utter shit-show no matter what variants and bottle sizes are produced.

Welp, today I took a week of vacation off to see Chicago for a few days and then get into the BC madness on black friday. Gonna be sweet, and tickets aren't too bad at the moment. I assume there are usually bottle shares etc around that time?
